Hello Everyone: If you're not drinking enough water ... you're wilting!

Recently, my hubby and I were watching a program about dehydration. It was interesting to find out that "if you're thirsty - you're already dehydrated." My hubby was impressed by that! Seriously, I know there are thousands of articles on the net about the dangers of allowing ourselves to become dehydrated. And dozens of articles have been posted in this group since it began.

We all know that water equals life, right? Our bodies require water to carry out its life-giving duties. It's a balancing act whereby toxins are also released from our system. Like plants, we cannot go for too long without water.

Talking about plants, one of my passions is growing my own medicinal herbs. An hour ago I was watering my garden, and noticed (as usual, due to high humidity) that several plants had already begun wilting. In noting the wilted state of the Italian parsley, brahmi, and borage I made the connection between the program I had watched. "If you're thirsty - you're already dehydrated."

So I think that the metaphor of a 'wilted plant' is useful in understanding just what is happening to our bodies when we allow ourselves to become dehydrated. Remember to carry cool bottles of water with you when driving or going shopping. Obey your thirst - drink filtered water often. Your health and healing depends on it.

Kind regards to all

Carlene
