QUESTION PLEASE(pain meds fuel fibro)

My daughter had major surgery in March of 08. Right after that she has been having all the symptoms of fibro. She has been to doctors and they cant seem to find out whats wrong with her. She suffers big time and is on pain meds. Yesterday she had an appointment with an Internist and he said that the pain meds r fueling the fibro making her worse. I know she has to see a rheumatologist but we have not been able to find one in our area. We will have to travel to see one so thats what we will do. I didnt mean to scare anyone when i asked my original question. cheryl

Hi and Happy New Year to all. I have a question, please. Anyone ever heard that taking pain meds for fibro will actually cause the pain meds to fuel the fibro? Thanks cheryl
