Guest guest
My day will go as this; leg workout followed by moderate 30 min. cardio [i hate cardio also Lynda so when coach told me that he wanted me to cut back on cardio while I build lean mass I was all for that, LOL]. And chasing my double trouble twins, trying to stay one step ahead of them to avoid their destruction of the house. I also need to plan my meals for next week so I can make up the grocery list tomorrow. And maybe if there is time make a batch of chili to freeze. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Am trying hard to get caught up reading posts. Happy Thursday to you all! I have a quick leg workout question. I have upped my dumbells to 20lbs in both hands and am not feeling a burn in the legs now, but the arms and shoulders are feeling it when I do squats and lunges. Should I up the weights again or increase the reps on the legs? Or is there some other technique I can do to get to a ten intensity again with the legs? Thanks in advance! Guest guest
Today is better than it could be... I have a head/chest cold. It's cardio day for me, so I got up to put my running gear on and it was pouring down rain outside and 50 degrees. I debated and debated for about 2 minutes... then I DID IT! I didn't get my heart rate up to 175 beats per minute (my 10) but did reach 168. Not bad for a sick girl. My lungs now feel much clearer and I feel a lot better! I bought a smoker early this summer and have been smoking my own salmon (marinaded in soy sauce and honey). Smoked a big fish yesterday and it was so delicious! I also smoke turkey and chicken. I love having this stuff around for quick tasty protein. Happy Thursday to all of you! Park Happy Thursday , for some reason, the comment about getting your pup's rear end in shape has struck me so funny that I keep giggling. I have this image of her turning to gaze proudly at her butt in a mirror!! My dog's butt does not need any help- she used to do something called pacing where she would move the legs on one side forward together instead of the legs on opposite sides together. Gave her QUITE the sexy swaying hips. (obviously NOT a show dog!) Sounds like your meals are coming along- no comment on the ice cream though When are you startign BFL for " real " ?? Joann, I'm jealous of you doing such light cardio since cardio is not one of my favorite things!! Lori, can you feel the muscles developing in those areas that are bigger? I know I was walking around for weeks feeling my legs and butt in awe at what was developing under the fat!! Are you writing everything that you eat down so that you know exactly how much you are eating. Are you feeling stronger? More energy? Changes are probably happening that you can feel, but not see yet. My workout today will mainly consist of alternating sets of lat pulldowns and pushups. I try to do the PU very slowly, touch my chest to the floor, and flex my pecs on each one. I'm raising my weight on my pulldowns today- I hurt my shoulder a couple months back and am just now getting to where it feels normal. Pushups are so much fun- at this time last year I did my very first one ever. I'll have to see how many I can do in a row, I'm hoping about 20. If anyone eats at Chevy's a good balanced meal is their grilled chicken salad. Leave off the chips and cheese, double the beans and use plain salsa as dressing . that was my dinner last night. How is everyone? Lynda
Guest guest
Petra, great job on upping the weights. Keep the 20 lbs and concentrate as hard as you can on your quads. Ignore the aching arms and hands (I have the same problem). Focus on those quad muscles and tighten them up even more. Your arms will get used to it and your legs are benefitting. Guest guest
So glad to hear things are looking up for you . Even if it's just your mood, that is most important. I had almost 4 weeks vacation pay on my last check. That's because I was too busy to take my vacation days. Well, I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow. No job search. I'm going out to play all day. Guest guest
I've been having terrible problems as well. This morning I had no messages and that just never happens, then all of a sudden I had 30 this afternoon around 1:30 p.m. and the times on them were from last night, middle of the night and from this a.m. I don't know what's happening, but I'm barely getting any from the group also. /FL From: MMU Morse Sherry <sherry.morse@...>Subject: Happy Thursday Date: Thursday, December 17, 2009, 11:34 AM I’ve been having a problem for a couple of weeks now with mail (this is just a portion of what it’s been doing to some of the messages) and it’s not all the messages and not all the groups so I’ve had no luck trying to figure out how to fix it.
