Leah,

I am here! Actually watching the 10pm news and off to bed. We took 3 of

the kids to Sacramento today to have their thyriod checked. Then went to

the computer store for a new iMAC. Now I get mine back from Sam. Thought

about going to Trader Joe's for gf food for JJ. But we went to the mall to

get shoes for Essie. When we came out it was 108. and we headed for home.

Hope to get Joe's done later this week--although it is to be over 100 every

day!!

Take care and keep those hay seeds out of your hair.

& Garry, parents of (9 ds), (8 ds/g-tube), JJ (6

ds/autism/celiac), (5 ds), and Esther (3 ds). All adopted.

Leah,

YUCK!!BUGS!!!!!!

It is usually hot here(95 to 115) from June thru the end of Sept! We have 2

of those plastic blow-up pools that fit 6 people--and an air compressor.

Set them up at about 9 am. The kids are in and out all day. After dinner

they get to go in the water for a few minutes---great quick bath! Then off

to bed cause they are exhausted. We also have central air!!I wait as long

as I can to turn it on. But there are those days that it is on by noon. And

we don't run it at night. The electric bill has never been over $180.

Trader Joe's is a huge store that I always thought the yuppies went to But

they have lots of natural things, vitamins and all natural things. I heard

they have a huge selection off gluten gree foods. I need some better

sourses than what we have right close to me.

Sam is up---gotta go. I can hear the excitement in his voice. He just found

the new computer.

Leah,

We've used Floxin a number of times for 's ear infections. It works

best on kids that have tubes in their ears. It's an antibiotic ear drop.

We put 5 drops in the ear and then hold down for about 5 mins. to let

it sink in. Our ped has used it both separately and with oral antibiotics,

depending on whether the ear infection has traveled to the sinuses or not.

Seems to work pretty well.

a,

Cipro is the only antibiotic can tolerate without having an allergic

reaction, but they tell me that is can cause major side effects in kids.

They usually use it for Cystic Fibrosis kids that are over 18 since it stunts

growth. Does your doctor prescribe this on a regular basis? I'm terrified

whenever we have to use it. Nothing else works for .

nathan has used the ear drops several times, and the oral a few, and it didnt

hurt his growth, he is only 8yrs and over 4ft tall, but we have tall males on

both sides of the family so i think he got a little of that in him, nathan is

allerginc to PCN and sulfa, the two most commonly used ones so we have a hard

time with antibiotics too, his last bout with ear infections, he had used the

cipro too long and built up a resistant psuedomonis virus, had to have two

surgies, one for a picc line for iv antibiotics for two weeks, it was the

only one that would rid him of the virus on the c & s reports. it was a fun

time, he got another virus on top of that one and missed 3 weeks of school,

ran hig temps for 2weeks of that time but enough venting it has been over for

awhile now and everthing turned out fine. shawna

Hi , I'm not understanding it either. It could have something to

do with hundreds of members being gone, and or summer vacations.

Well, I'm in muggy 90 degree weather with no air conditioning and two small

kids. being in my stuffy office is not where I want to be right now!

does seem to have some problems. I've been receiving two copies of my posts

(??)! I don't know if some people aren't receiving any...

Also, I miss Sheri's comments and input,,,

,

Posts that I did last Friday have not appeared even though they are in my sent

box. Private emails to people that usually respond promptly, no replies, so I

don't know if they are cyberlost or hijacked or just 'stopped off at the pub on

the way'..............not only scary, I am suffering withdrawl symptoms. Do you

think that there are little 'thingys' emitted from the screen to addict you, a

computer nicotine so to speak...........

And I think my dh would certainly agree with you on teh addiction thing,

he's forever giving me a hard time about this blasted machine. And with

that, I am now going to bed!
