I too suffer from Vertigo and have to take Antivert and don't leave home without it! Would the Wii both someone like me if only playing the Brain games like the Sudoku, puzzles, word games, etc? Thanks H

Evie - I used to experience the kind of dizziness you're talking about. It's another symptom that's pretty much cleared up for me. Hope yourslevels out, too. Take care Carlene>> FYI.. too much wii or any other video games make me dizzy.. and w thevertigo I already have it can get pretty unpleasant. Not sure anyonefeels that, but figured Id share.

I am another sufferer of vertigo and also take Antivert. I think if you just play the word and board-type games, you would be OK. Any little thing on TV (or in a game), like a fast-moving, jerky camera upsets my stomach. I hate it when film makers do that kind of stuff on purpose. Sometimes in the movies I have to look away from the screen or close my eyes.

Yes, you are describing me exactly. I usually will close my eyes, because if I turn away after seeing something that affects my vertigo then it gets worse. I too get nauseous with my vertigo. My doctor gave me exercises to do with my eyes and face for the vertigo. If I can find them let me know if you'd like a copy of them. I've had vertigo for so many years and I haven't even done the exercises, bad bad me. I also can't sit in the backseat of a vehicle nor can I go driving in the mountains...it makes it so much worse. Of course, I didn't know this until I went on vacation to the Carolina's and I thought how beautiful, but can't visit it again.

Let me know if you'd like the exercises and I'll look for them. Hugs H

I can't sit in the backseat of any vehicle either. I live in North Carolina, quite close to the mountains, so we drive on those winding up-and-down roads often. I am usually OK if I: 1) Drive myself, or 2) Take Antivert or Dramamine before I get into the car. Sometimes I have to take another pill while we are underway. Both Antivert and Dramamine seem to work the same for me (one doc I had said they were the same...) and I prefer Dramamine on a road trip because they have a non-drowsy kind.

If you can find your eye exercises, let me know. I don't know if I would do them either. I mean well when it comes to things like that, but sometimes I don't follow through. I have to day, though, just thinking about doing eye exercises makes me feel a little queasy.

I do most if not all of the driving as I find even when in the passenger side I get too much of a jerking motion, which then makes me feel sick. Same here, which is why I haven't done them. My intentions are good, but that's where they stop. My doctor asks me if I've done them and I tell him the truth and explain why and he says, well if you do them then you won't have an issue anymore! I'll go look for them and let you know. H

Pam, I was able to find the exercise for the Vertigo, however, I was wrong, they are not eye exercises. It's a Home Dizziness Remedy called Brandt-Daroff exercises. I can scan the copy to your email or if you'd like you can look it up on the net. If you'd like me to send it to you just let me know. It's only a couple of exercises but it states that doing these for a couple of weeks regularly that 90% of the people had relief. My doctor has given this to me a couple of times and I haven't done them. I probably should go ahead and try them.

Anyway, let me know what you'd like me to do. Take care. H

, I'm sure it would be easier to send it to my email, so go ahead and do that: pmarshall@.... And thanks so much for finding them for me. If I actually do them ( ) I'll let you know how things turn out.

Ok, I'll send it via email, but I won't be able to send it until, hopefully, Friday depending on how I'm feeling after my surgery tomorrow. I'll send it just as soon as possible though. H

Pam I will definitely email the sheet, I'm not feeling well at all today from the surgery and hope to feel better tomorrow. They had to give me so much in pain meds and just treated me with kids gloves. My throat is hurting so badly that it hurts to talk, drink water, just anything. I promise I'll get it to you just as soon as I can. It's sitting on my desk. H
