Guest guest
Oh, if you go let me know. We know all the best places to eat. All the best farmers markets and the best hidden beaches. The best book to buy is the The Ultimate Kauai guidebook by Doughty. I know the best spa {of course} and all the best places to have the most scenic drink. Jeff and I were married on the island. So don't forget to check in before you have a holiday there. We feel like we are home the moment we step off the plane. You will love it. It must be part of the fibro. "Nincumpoop syndrome" as you call it. Yes, Hervey Bay/Fraser Island does have a magical quality about it. You have mentioned Kauai, before. I thought it was in Hawaii. This time I Googled, and I saw the video on the following link. watched the video, too. It must be some kind of 'sign', because... The other evening asked me if I wanted to go to Hawaii. He is a workaholic, and we are very holiday-challenged. Kauai is stunning. It is also the volcano-trek that attracted 's attention. Thanks to your recommendation of the island I'm sure we will end up holidaying there. It looks, and sounds heavenly. On our foreshore walks (mesmerising sea views!) I do count my lucky stars. Our property in New South Wales was so barren from the prolongued drought. Even though we enjoyed exquisite mountain, and valley views. Now...I am envying your trips to Kauai..! Nincumpoop syndrome strikes again.> What a gorgeous place to live. Heaven to me. That is how I see Kauai. Heaven. Perfect climate for me as well. Some day we hope to have a place there. > I am sure you wake every day and say how lucky you are to be in such a wonderous place. Guest guest
Kauai doesn’t have any active volcanoes that I remember when we were last there. Maui which we have been to several times has the crater you can actually walk in. This volcano is dormant and has a shell over it and people can actually camp on it. Keep in mind it gets cold up at this site. We did the ‘tour trip’ and it was nice but we did not walk down on the crater floor. Too hard for me. When I watched the video about the volcanoes in the upper right hand side, there was an arrow pointing to the Big Island. Kauai is very magical to us too. We’ve been twice and have friends that live on this island. When we stayed we rented a house and stayed on the west side of the island which meant more rain. We could actually hear the wild boars outside. Maui got a little hotter and I sweated a good amount more on that island. Nothing beats recommendations from someone who has walked the walk. And, you were married there too...how romantic! The video link I gave (the one below) when you click on the volcano in the right photo-shots. Is this volcano on the island of Kauai? I'm having one of those fibro-fog-moments. So now...I am not certain. Please let me know so I can tell . Guest guest
Carlene, Kauai is the oldest of the islands. That is why it has the most beaches of all the islands. The volcano has been dormant for thousands of years. That is also why it is so beautiful. Not that there is any island in the chain that is not beautiful but I have an infinity for Kauai. Brrrrrrrrrrrr...........get some sun for me please!!!
