Guest guest
I'll add to Willa's original question if I may... " Those of you making your own hummus- have you made it with sprouted garbanozos? " ... ....And if so, could you share your recipe for sprouted hummus? I just bought some garbanzo seeds for this very purpose! Thanks, ~Deanna

Guest guest
The hummus I have been making I have done by cooking the chickpeas in the conventional manner (although I did sprout them somewhat one time inadvertently by soaking too long and then cooked them). I am interested in trying the raw sprouted hummus, however. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ~Deanna Sent: Monday, February 27, 2006 11:52 AM Subject: RE: Hummus Question I'll add to Willa's original question if I may... Guest guest
Hi Sue, That sounds really good. I have a dumbish question. When they hollow it out, how much? Is it hollowed down to the bottom or just a puddle in the middle. Does it mix into it to get it in every bite, or do you just have to make sure that you dip into it each time?. I feel I'm being a bit dense, but I've never seen it served that way- or any way actually, so I'm trying to picture it. I told you I didn't like it. I tried it years ago. Well, I tried it again, one with garlic in it and I LOVED it. Now, I want to make it myself and I've been looking at different recipes for it. I hear most people use Tahini, but some use yogurt to lower the fat. I was curious if you make yours and what you put in yours. I am slowly getting the processed foods out of my life and cooking more real foods. It feels good. I also finally got to have my steel cut oats. I put an egg in them too and I loved them so much more than regular oatmeal. MMMM Thanks,
Guest guest
, They just make a little well in the center. Like you do when you are baking and have to make a well in the dry ingredients. Don't mix it in. Sprinkle paprika over the hummus and oil. You take a little bit of oil with the hummus with each bite. I just love it. Especially since different Virgin Olive oils have different flavors. Makes sure it is Virgin Olive oil. The others do not have any flavor. Does that help? Enjoy! hugs, Sue From: Gaduyon <noerzmom (DOT) com>Subject: hummus questionDate: Saturday, October 3, 2009, 11:33 PM Hey Sue, I while back, when you were telling me about what you and Nell snack on, I think I remember you mentioning Hummus. Guest guest
I think so. Now I can't wait to get the ingredients so I can make some.
