Hi ,

I'm so sorry this is hard on you. I'm sure you will be feeling better soon

but I know how hard it is to wait until you feel better. It is also a tough

time of year to be recuperating and to have to say no to all those comfort foods

has to be rough, too. Just keep getting in that protein, drink your water

and take your supplements...things will be getting better.

Great big hug of commiseration for you.

Hugs and blessings, Ann

I wouldn't even bat an eye at the sugar in the cowabunga

drinks if it allows you to get your protein in at this time. Your

weightloss is too fast as it is...you need the calories and

protein. I hope your stomach settles down soon.

I also hope your keeping in contact with Dr. K's office. If you

can't tolerate the liquid antibiotics try pills...if that doesn't

work perhaps you need to be on IV antibiotics. Your body need the

help to fight off the infection. Please be discussing this with the

office.

I would like to add a big thanks for keeping us informed on the

struggle your having with the re-stomach reduction. Three weeks

feels like a lifetime to you right now...but it really isn't very

long...hopefully the next 3 weeks will tell a happier tale.

Hugs

Jo

Thanks Jo for the support I am doing ok just pooped out. I did make a

trip to the E.R in visalia yesterday. When I stood up yesterday

morning blood squirted out of my incion on my left hip and boy was I

nervous..When Jamison walked in the bathroom he told me it looked

like a crime scene...lol anyway to make a long boring story short the

E.R doc had to carterize a few places.....Jo I have already been

switched to the pill form of keflex. I drink 1 cowabunga a day...I

know it will get better and I know I made the right choice but damn

what I wouldn't give for more energy. My apointment with the doc is

Jan 8th so I'll discuss it with him then..Thanks for your kind words

on concern.

Diane keep up the great work. Not giving into stress is HUGE in itself. I to live away from family. Not across the country BUT in another state. It is about 1 hr 15 min drive. It can be hard at times. Does mom have heart history? Motivation for you to stay on track.

>Just a little update about me. I do apologize for not writing more often.

Life always has a bad habit of interfering with our plans, so don't worry

about it.

>The baby has been keeping me hoping by

changing her schedule on me.

They're just so darn unpredictable. LOL

>Just last week, my mom had a heart attack and

unfortunately, I live clear cross the country from her

I know the feeling, having my dad with his cancer 1200 miles away.

>She is doing well now,

and it was a " minor " attack as far as they go ( no damage done to her heart)

Great news. So what is she going to do now, resumer her former eating and

exercise habits or try to straighten herself out so she can prevent another

one? She may want to read Dr. Ornish or Dr. McDougall's heart health books

for inspiration.

>And now, just yesterday, my husband lost his job.

ARGH! Tell him I'll send good job-hunting vibes over your way.

> Besides, I'm not even sure if I am wanting to go back anyhow LOL.

Heck, my maternity leave is going on 22 years now, with just a few hops back

to work for a couple weeks here and there. If you *can* stay home, by all

means do it. I'm old-fashioned that way. :)

>and while I thought I was going to have a

difficult time trying to do the Walk and Kick video since it is kickboxing,

I am actually enjoying it a lot to the point where I don't mind doing it

every day.

More power to you! Sounds like it would work up quite a sweat!

>I am down another 5.5 lbs and now am sitting at 249 lbs! I

haven't seen those numbers in a couple of years!

>Quick question before I go... has anyone tried Cruise's 8 minutes in

the Morning Real Shapes Real Sizes and how did it go if you did?

I wasn't too crazy about the book. The exercises were boring and

repetitious, and no way would *most* of them lead to any weight loss, just a

bit of toning, and never in just the 8 minutes a day he says they take to do

(Some days can be done in 2 minutes). If you're able to do that kickboxing,

this book would be way too simple for you. Check it out of your library

before investing in it.

Sheesh woman, that's awful. Glad your mom is ok but I know how stressful

that is.

I like Tae Bo Gold. I haven't checked recently to see if they have any more

" easy " Tae Bo tapes. I need to get that out for a change from the

treadmill. Hmmm..... How about Thursday when Vonn is at school. If I do

Tae Bo after I take her to preschool then I can go out to lunch. :) I'll

have to look into Walk and Kick.

It's pouring rain tonight. This is getting old!

Hi Kara --

Cute baby!

I've got a ph also. He is 16. I've uploaded a picture of my boys in my file. ph is on the left. (18) is on the right.

Enjoy your time with your son. I am fast realizing how soon mine will be out of our home -- one goes to college next fall.

I am in surgery today for tumour removal in bowel. Ken is back from the eye hospital, right eye under treatment but not expected to improve. Now I have to see what the growth is on my (a) thyroid, (B) adrenal gland. I may not give many personal details but like you all illlness attacks. I hold my God up high. He is my beacon in this dark and nasty world. I will be here in the background. God Bless you all. Clare in Tassie

Clare, you are in my prayers. Write when you can and let us know how you are. I pray for Ken too, that he can retain his eyesight. God will stay by your side.
