I think shrimp are harder to digest than most seafood and are high in

cholesterol. How about salmon or tuna?

I'm finding lots to eat. I'm just staying away from animal products

(except for fish) and fried foods. And so far I'm having very little in

the oil department and no fat other than Take Control spread

(occasionally).

I make this " green soup " which is delicious, out of broccoli, zucchini,

or whatever else you have lying around. Cook it up well (not too much

water). Toss it in a blender with a little of the water. Season to

taste (hot and sour; miso; etc.) and voila! Last time I added fresh

basil to the soup and then whirled in a bit of tofu for a creamy

texture.

And someone suggested the flaxseed meal muffins. I tried them and they

are great!

I used to have better luck eating shrimp than some other protein-foods early in the days when I was eating a raw, animal foods diet But, I was also eating it raw, and I don't recommend anyone do that. Cooked shrimp was not "easy" on my liver.

Well, there is always lemon-ade and sweet juicy fruits and other fruit juices. If you can't find good fruit fresh, then buy it canned. Bottled juices are abundant. Eat the ones that taste the best to you. And, eat them sweetened "to taste". Give yourself at least 3 weeks of doing this, to see what kind of difference it makes for you.

Flesh of salmon and tuna share a trait in common with land animal muscle proteins that make them especially difficult to digest for the liver-impaired person. Any other fish would be a better choice.

HI, I've just joined the group, and wasn't in time to be able to avoid

surgery. In my opinion, if you can avoid surgery, do all you can...but if

it becomes a real problem or life threatening, DON'T WAIT!!! I was lucky

that mine was not life threatening, but the pain was so unreal, and I could

not keep anything down that I ate. This is when it become necessary to seek

medical assistance.

My surgery went great..I was able to come home the same afternoon.

I wish you all good luck and hope none of you have to end up in the OR.
