I too agree with . I have much to learn about eating right for you

life and gallbladder. Stones , I don't think I have any. I am also

confused about the flushing. So many different opinions at times for me

to sort out. But I like everybodies input to the group. Thank

Rosie

Diane,

I'm a member of too many listserves as it is. I think (hope) we can

still be a " health maintenance " listserve, gallbladder or no. Maybe it

should be called " gallbladders " rather than " gallstones " . We all seem

to be in agreement what a gallbladder is. Some of us aren't so clear on

the gallstone part.

I, for one, think you are a voice of reason and hope you stay here. We

need balance -- differing points of view -- differing experiences.

What say everyone else?

Sorry to hear there are those feelings here. I personally would like those

that have had surgery to stick with this group to keep us up on what things

happen after the surgery. Granted this groups main intent is to keep from

surgery, but,,,, some will need to have it no matter what they do to try to

work with what they have available in their areas.

I've heard of difficulties that some face after surgery and that too could

be addressed here. I don't find those that have felt the need to have

surgery need to feel as an outsider to this group or as one's that have

given up. The fact of the matter is this, every body's bodies are different

and things such as diet, heredity, disease, and anything else you can think

of, can have an adverse effect on the liver and the gallbladder. Sometimes

it's just too late to make the needed changes in diet and or life styles to

put off a needed surgery.

To this day, although not in pain, I'm very cognizant of my liver and

gallbladder, and especially so with the eating of certain foods. So,

although I've been able to avoid surgery with having had an initial

diagnoses of a thickened gallbladder and " A " stone, and the fact that I was

given a clean bill of health regarding it as of October of 99, it doesn't me

that I'm going to be staying that way. Especially since I tend to....how

should I say this?..... cheat,,,, a lot, regarding things I eat. Even though

a year or more ago I would be much more cautious. Some days I get

this....Hmmmmm.... feeling that I've been a bad boy and have to jump back on

the wagon of control again.

So, if you must setup another group it would be with great regret and

somewhat of a chagrin for me, as I've found a lot of the input and research

of even those that have had surgery, very beneficial.
