I don't have nausea with my FMS, but here are some thoughts--

Have you tried the anti-nausea liquid (from Walmart)?

Are you expecting?

Are you experiencing any hormonal changes?

Could nausea be a drug side effect?

Have you tried taking digestive enzymes?

What about acid reducers?

I never heard of anti-nausea liquid. The only over the counter I was

told to try was benadryl or dramamine but both make me sleepy and

hard to concentrate at work. Not expecting, and no hormonal changes. I

am not on any drugs that cause nausea, I only take vitamin supplements

and xanax at night for sleep. I have tried taking TUMS and pepto

bismol to see if those help. Also, tried to eat starchy foods as I

heard they work. I even got so desperate I even tried marijuana once

to see if it helped, and it does not make me able to function in

normal society LOL. My doctor prescribed me meds for nausea but they

all make me tired and he said unfortunately that is all he has for

nausea is medicine that make you sleepy. So have been looking and

trying to find something I can take during the day while at work.

Either it be over the counter, herbal, food, anything that won't cause

sleepiness I am willing to try. I work in an office.

Hi - There are 4 things that I have used successfully for nausea

from eating something that didn't agree with me, or was bad, or when I

was sick with the flu--

1. Walmart (Equate brand) " Anti-Nausea Liquid " - the label says it is

phosphorated carbohydrate solution.

2. Dry saltine crackers and a few sips of ginger ale.

3. Alka Seltzer (least effective of my anti-nausea remedies)

4. A drop of a therapeutic grade essential oil called " DiGize "

http://dom.younglivingworld.com

in a small glass of water. It tastes vile, but has rescued me from

severe nausea and throwing up on several occasions. (I will do

ANYTHING to avoid vomiting - I will ALWAYS keep DiGize handy!) You

can also rub a drop of DiGize on your navel and do the same thing with

a drop of Peppermint oil.

These are my " rescue remedies " for nausea.

, I have worked with many Drs as a nurse and as a patient, and have never heard of the symptom. I would almost suspect one of the medications that you are taking is causing it. Are you taking pain meds? That is a big side effect of them. If taking pain meds I would suggest that you take them with food or milk. Also check side effects of your medications, as it could one of the others that you taking. I am taking anew heart medication and it is causing nausea but it is suppose to stop with prolong treatment, so I am hanging in there. Sandie -- nausea anyone? Does anyone suffer from severe nausea with their other symptoms? My doctor said nausea is normal but all nausea medicines even stuff like benadryl put me to sleep. Anyone have any suggestions on dealing with nausea during the day. It's hard to work and stay awake and deal with the nausea. It's driving me nuts! ------------------------------------

, are you taking the vitamins with food? I am one that can't take vitimins daily as they will make me nauseous. When I was expecting my 2 , I couldn't take the prenatals or the iron tablets for that reason. Have you had your eyes checked? Sometimes the strain put on your eyes, while doing office work, especially if most of it is done on a computer can cause this problem. It could be just a need for glasses or tweeking in prescription if you already wear glasses. Sandie -- Re: nausea anyone? I never heard of anti-nausea liquid. Hi , I used to feel nauseated most of the time also (wasn't sick to my stomach..just felt like it). After I began working on my food sensitivities most of that went away. It would be something you eat or drink alot. That can be different for everyone. Nowadays if it happens I chew gum until it passes. It helps me especially in a moving car. :)

Took this from the internet:

"If you suffer from fibromyalgia and are noticing symptoms of nausea, contact your health care provider. Between 40% and 70% of fibromyalgia sufferers report symptoms of both chronic nausea and vomiting. Such intense nausea can really exacerbate the other symptoms of fibromyalgia and prevent sufferers from continuing with their daily lifestyle. Often, simple changes to your diet can help to significantly reduce your symptoms of nausea."

Hi! I'm so sorry I'm not able to keep up with this group! And believe me,it's going to be on the top of my list from now on!!! I have wondered & wondered if others with Fibromyalgia suffer with nausea! Honestly,I think, mine is GREATLY worse the week or so before I start my menstrual cycle? Has anyone else experienced this? I really don't think it "just so happens then". I tell my doctor & he keeps wanting to check and see if I'm pregnant!!!! After I assure him there is no possible way that I am!!!! I am sick,it seems, only in the morning. And I am sooooo sick!!! I get the chills, sit in pain and nausea for a while & then vomit, vomit, vomit!!!!! It's awful!!! I didn't know what to do?! After my test results can back normal, haha, the doctor always blames it on one med or the other. Or that I don't

get enough exercise,etc....Now that I see others suffer from it as well, maybe now I can understand why it's happening to me! And understanding is such a help & blessing!!!! Doctors, well most doctors, just seem like they don't have a clue about ANYTHING on Fibromyalgia! And in my little town, there is NO Awareness about Fibromyalgia! So that makes it even harder!!!!

I have my own store on zazzle.com and I've made everything under the moon with something on it about Fibromyalgia Awareness & I've bought almost everything I've made haha!! If anyone else is interested in Fibromyalgia Awareness items I've made, please visit my store at http://www.zazzle.com/pammys* Especially if you are from a small town like I am & 95% of people still have "NEVER" even heard of Fibromyalgia?! Thanks! I will try & be back everyday! I truly need this support & learning!!! Take care,Pam

I agree with Pam, it does feel better that others are experiencing the

same thing. I have been nautious a lot, for months now. I also

experience more the week before my cycle. I assumed it was the Fibro.

I also saw on a show, 'The Dr's'(I believe is the name) that ginger was

a good natural thing to take!

God Bless you!

Thanks ! I'm going to try the ginger! Can't hurt! What I go through is horrid & I need to try something! Nothing at the store helps me! Sometimes I think it makes me worse! Of course,if you want to vomit & get that part over with, then they do work haha! I'll let you know if the ginger works. Thanks & take care,Pam

Hi ,

I have mutiple stomach issues that contribute to my being real

nauseated at times. I always read the flyers that come with

medications and I take food with the ones that say to. Gingersnaps

help a lot with nausea; generally a half of one does the trick.

Pretzles help as well. I keep them at home, in both of our vehicles,

and in the office. Eating several small meals rather than a regular

one is a must as is keeping something in my stomach at all times. I

carry a few gingersnaps in my purse when I go grocery shopping and on

outings. When the nausea hits, I eat half a gingersnap. I've become

keenly aware of what will set off the nausea and to avoid them.

Take care.
