The cause of most gallstones comes down to 3 main factors:

1) The overabundance of cholestorol in the bile.

2) The lack of lecithin and bile salts to emulsify the cholestorol.

3) A slugglish gallbladder that once clogged, cannot eliminate ALL of

its bile, so the remaining bile clogs even more.

Certainly the major cause comes from the foods that we eat.

Anytime you eat something and you feel your nose starting to run and

your thoat become mucusy... you know that your bile is in for some

extra clogging cholestorol. Milk and milk products are primary

culprits.

Herity plays a large role in gallstone formation. Some people eat a

lot of dairy and other bad fats with no gallbladder problems. Most

likely the livers of these people do a poor job of pulling the

cholestorol out of the blood stream... so it finds its way to the

heart, and veins to clog up the flow of blood. My cholestorol level

in my blood has always been a rediculously low 150... which could

mean that my liver does a great job, but then my gb gets clogged with

the bad cholestorol.

Essential fatty acids from Flax seed oil are " essential " to breaking

down fats and cholestorol in the body. Taking flaxseed oil each

morning on an empty stomach will make the gb spill its bile

regularly, thus helping to prevent clogging.

Taking lecithin and bile salts will help chane the balance of the

bile and keep it smooth. Avoiding bad fats, dairy and hydrogenated

oils especially, and eating lots of fruits and vegies, will go a long

way to curing a cloggeg gallbladder.

Good luck to all of you searching to get out of pain... I thought I

would have to have my gb out after 7 attacks... but right now... I

think I am cured! Do a few flushes and follow the advice above...

you will soon find that you can eat almost anything in moderation

with NO pain!

Dear Sara,

I would agree with about half of this information.

The other half is junk.

If they would take the time to autopsy a gallstone like Dr. has

they would see its structure is like a hailstone, built up layer after

layer around a central particle that the liver has encapsulated. It is

part of the natural filtration activity, which prevents harmful

substances from leaving the liver.

Best of Health!

> Obesity. Obesity is a major risk factor for gallstones,

> even moderately overweight increases one's risk for developing

> reduce the amount of bile salts in bile, resulting in more

>

> Estrogen. Excess estrogen from pregnancy, hormone replacement
