I sometimes am FINE (with a little bit of trouble throughout the day) and then I will have such a problem that I can't even take a few steps without feeling as though I cannot get enough air. Also I will lie down and be unable to breathe...gasping for air! I also noticed that those of us who have this problem say they have had all sorts of testing with NO answers. As I have. I was hoping that you could be more detailed regarding the tests; what kind of tests? Mine included the breathing machine, the 'telephone booth' test where you breathe through a tube just like the first one; I have had cardio cath. Test because of the awful palpitations that make me feel as though I am having a heart attack. That is the test where they put that wire through your groin up to your heart. Then there was another heart test where they make your heart stress using a chemical through an IV and see how it does. And yet one more in a machine quite like the MRI. I have also had the ultrasound on the heart and lung. AND now I am about to have a LUNG catherization. So far, nothing really shows. I do have some hardening in a part of my lung that COULD point to scleroderma (which I have been dx'd with) OR it could be from infections. I have also been found to hae inflammation in the heart and a leaky heart valve that nobody seems to pay much attention to. So the LUNG cath is my last chance to 'show' anything. I was wondering if any of you had THIS one with NO results and no answers. Am to leave in an hour for the Pulm. To see what the latest ultrasound has shown (any changes from the first one). Thank you! Roseanne Designed by www.erti.nl
