Guest guest
My 13yo son is taking a dermatologist prescribed Antibiotics for an Acne condition (it's called Erythromycin 333). He started to get sick and I gave him some colloidal Silver to help him battle off whatever he was getting. He got a super-upset stomach a few hours after taking the Silver. I'm thinking the two just don't mix. Has anyone else ran into problems taking Colloidal Silver with Antibiotics? I'm not positive the two are related because upset stomach seems to be one of his symptoms. Would like to try again with the Colloidal but thought I'd get some advice from this forum. Thanks! Guest guest
Is he sick from a bug or is he sick from the medicine? The most frequent side effects of oral erythromycin preparations are gastrointestinal and are dose-related. They include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and anorexia. Symptoms of hepatitis, hepatic dysfunction and/or abnormal liver function test results may occur. (See WARNINGS.) Onset of pseudomembranous colitis symptoms may occur during or after antibacterial treatment. (See WARNINGS.) Erythromycin has been associated with QT prolongation and ventricular arrhythmias, including ventricular tachycardia and torsades de pointes. Allergic reactions ranging from urticaria to anaphylaxis have occurred. Skin reactions ranging from mild eruptions to erythema multiforme, s- syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrolysis have been reported rarely. There have been rare reports of pancreatitis and convulsions. There have been isolated reports of reversible hearing loss occurring chiefly in patients with renal insufficiency and in patients receiving high doses of erythromycin. Guest guest
Thanks for the Info. He's been taking the Antibiotic with food for some months now without any stomach problems. I think I'll try him with a dose of Colloidal Silver (start out with a teaspoon) as far away in time as possible from his antibiotic and see if he still has a problem. - Greg > > > From: Greg <gregbest@...> > Subject: Antibiotics and Colloidal Silver > > Date: Monday, October 5, 2009, 1:09 PM > > > > > > > My 13yo son is taking a dermatologist prescribed Antibiotics for an Acne condition (it's called Erythromycin 333). Guest guest
Greg; I don't know about the reaction with antibiotics. It may have been a herxheimers reaction. My daughter had a bad case of acne. She was visiting from NY. I sprayed some CS on her face, gave her some to drink, and pulsed her with a Beck-type pulser that I had made. The acne scabbed over in 3 hours. The next morning most of it was gone. Dick > > My 13yo son is taking a dermatologist prescribed Antibiotics for an Acne condition (it's called Erythromycin 333). Guest guest
Thanks! I'll check that out. I thought the dermatologist would be a one or two visit thing ha! Been to see him 5 times in 9 months. He spends about 4 minutes with us and charges $168 then the gels are (Differin and Duac) are Friggin-expensive. I'm ready for alternatives. - Greg > > people have had success using the paleo diet to halt acne. google loren > cordain and the paleo diet. > > monique >
