Not if you keep them clean.

If I use silver electrodes so they so not scratch, then will tarnish cause a problem?

I normally clean my electrodes with rubbing alcohol. Any foreseeable problems with this?

We try not to touch the electrode for the purpose of removing the gel;

rather we bring water to a boil, pour it into a cup and holding the

electrode by its plastic sheath so that no water is higher the sheath

swish it around in the cup until the gel falls off. Then hang the

electrode plates down until they dry. We think this procedure prolongs

the electrode life span by minimizing (a) abrasive activity that may

affect the plate surface and (B) reducing the corrosive effects of

water getting in behind the plastic electrode sheath.

Pete and.or Foxx,

I am interesed in purchasing the Pendant

and a seond Bio Ex license. Can you send info on purchase price and

what comes with the Pendant --specifically if is comes with "Poor"

electrodes which will have to be replaced wtih better quality ones

sooner rather than later. Back channel is okay -- although there are

probably people on the list who would be interested.

  • 1 year later...

Hello,

After reading quite a bit about electrification experiments by Doctors

and research professionals it seems that it is very important to use

silver electrodes whenever possible. Especially where the electrodes

may come in contact with the skin, even accidentally. Other types of

metal release toxic ions. Silver also releases ions but they are not

toxic to human cells.

Good Luck!
