Hello Ahmad, I'm lurking in-background and only get email-update every few~DaZe,

but it lQQks like might be worth-posting few-replies here...to Help-Keep-Beck-Safe?

IMO, major-problem understanding BECK, is in user Not-Understanding, it's-IONIC~

Thanks to Neville, Chuck, Other's, helping to provide valid CS info, from other areas.

Beck showed people how easy it was to make CS in-cup, just not State-of-the-Art~

since almost 20 years later...times have changed, as Colloidal-Science...advanced.

(BECK-BASICS becoming difficult-to-understand, due-to-BS...without ION Physics)

NOT-MD, so not-answering FDA Bait-Questions, I might-address engineering-facts,

but considering time-fragmented/(personal) Schedule, NOT~INTO...'rapid' follow-up?

Of several BECK based Y-GrOpEs...(ALL, with-problems) BBE (still) most VALID...

and Historically...Owner/(Dotsie), has allowed Posters open...Freedom-to-Disagree.

I'm strong supporter...Freedom-of-Speech, but also making-posters-eat obvious BS!

(Being Group established for Dr. BECK...frequently-unhappy/disagree...BS~Posts?)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This is one of those (trick) questions, that on-the-surface, appears to have a 'simple'numerical-answer...like 3.1416, or 1,000,000:1, etc., but in-fact...nothing so 'simple'.

Since we presume you're thinking in the context of Ag/Silver in Colloidal Silver/(EIS)

it requires additional background-insight/(historical-origin) to understand PPM-in-CS.

Chuck already gave you Marshall Dudley URL http://silver-lightning.com/theory.html

which is excellent (ongoing/compiled) reference-base for understanding CS/(EIS)..!!!!

"Parts-Per-Million ~ EIS this is expressed in milligrams of silver per liter of water."

Therefore, in context of your (original) PPM posted-question ref. CS/EIS~Silver held

in H2O/(Distilled-Water)...simplest mathematical-answer, would be as given above~

However...answer is based-on several-assumptions/(measurements, etc.) mostly of

variable-nature...as to exactly how Data collected, or if fudge-factoring, for IONIC-%.

Old; Scientific Measurement is FARADAY calculation, to measure 'atomic-weight'~

of Silver (Anode) material (before starting) then delivering (constant) electric-current,

over given-period-of-time...then calculate Ag (ionic) exchange, or measure Ag~Loss

from original Ag (Anode) weight...that is (presumed-to-be) now-held in CS solution?

(Old approach can be implimented in electronic-circuits, but Ag plate-out unknown)

Newer; Scientific Measurement is more expensive/(complicated) involving, physical

preparation of CS (test-sample), by HS centrIfuge to separate Silver/(metallic) parts

from (rest) EIS...or Silver/(Ionic Ag+) remaining in Hydrosol/(H2O) Solution. Before

placing (spun-out) Silver Metal particles under (various-types) Electron Microscope,

to under-go partical size-measurement and individual-counting in sample test-area?

See later...where back in April, questioned SOTA on 95+% Ionic-claim...still OPEN

and not-buying lengthy story, on how local college-professor...estimated 95% Ions?

Several statements made-later...further-support being skeptical on SOTA =/> 95%!

(LAB procedure takes-time & involves skilled-laboratory, to perform/document-Test)

Third; (not-so) Scientific Measurement...is really not-truely (CS/EIS) 'PPM' but best

guestimated/(approximation), or SWAG/(Some-Wild-Ass-Guess) of PPM based-on

simple/(inexpensive) measurement of (unknown-Ion) conductivity between (2) probe

points...passing AC thru TEST liquid, to calculate uS/(Micro-Siemen) conductance.

(TDS/EC using many, What-if's & Sort-of-Like...derive Questionable PPM Answer?)

TDS/EC meters were not originally designed for measuring CS/(Ag+ Ions)...PPM~?

Commercial TDS/EC meters are (factory) calibrated at high PPM, using NaCl, or K.

BUT, with-lots-of ...Fudge+Finagle...EC-is-useable?? http://tinyurl.com/29pnnoq

Personally, I own and use COM-100...can order it at: http://tinyurl.com/9v3ul

Keeping in mind...CS/EIS is Ag+Ion & Ag part's...EC only measuring, IONS..! Neville, is an experienced CS/EIS brewer, using homemade GEN, w/o PPM meter?

(Being a retired Engineer...even with years-of-brewing EIS, still using my COM-100)

Eyes-Open,

Dok~Dallas

P.S. Personally, I design my own EIS Generators, but Silver Puppy...best-buy-for $! IMO, SOTA not-offering QUALITY vs. COST, in either CS-Generator, or 'BE'-Pulser~

Dr. Beck died 8-yrs-ago, June 2002...leaving SOTA without EE/(scientific) guidance,

which is becoming more apparent...in recent-products missing...modern technology!

Also rumor SOTA stopped using 316-s.s. Trodes, vs Silver...Beck NEVER approved

and in-fact...always included (2) different-size jacks, to prevent mixing Silver & S.S.!

Beck was well aware of Dr. Becker's IONTOPHORESIS work, yet Said 4Hz~

and 316 S.S. electrodes wrapped-in-cotton, soaked-with (no-Iodine) Salt/NaCl+H20?

(For the record...I'm very much into Becker-Iontophoresis, but NOT if Beck, 4Hz/BP)

\@^@/~> http://www.zapper.com Mikas is (infrequent) Posting Member,

but hopefully will be reading [b-B-E] group messages and follow-up on (new) issues.

If at all possible and you're-not-willing to go D-I-Y Beck...then @^@~> mini-zapper ~

I'm sure if Bob Beck were here to see "mini-zapper"...would be Impressed & Happy?

Personally met B. Beck in 1982, having sold him prototype of EEG-FB/Video~Ckt.,

when we were both living/working as Design EE's...in Santa/Irvine area OC-CA

We said hello many times over next-six-years mostly at Ham/Tron TRW swap-meet

and LA area IEEE, SMPTE events, but did-not-know it was Dr. Beck...until, ~1995?

(First saw 4-Hz/BiPhasic "BE" ckt...immediately recognized...ION~PUMP & TRAP)

Beck was long-time Gadget-Hobbiest, EE/(application/design) and D.Sc./Physicist

not a Medical Doctor, like Kaali/Lyman...making it easy to follow Logic-in-Designs.

As a Physicist, he made extensive use of ION knowledge in both 'BE & CS' areas,

yet rather than explaining ION Pump/Trap, he-assumed, user 'following' Directions?

IF Dr. Beck were alive today, IMO...would NOT-BE-HAPPY, with History..!!!

IGNORANT People/Lizards, Modify & Ignore (4-Hz/BiPhasic) SAFETY-FUNCTION!

Touch of IrONIC humor: Survey...'Six-out-of-Seven Dwarf's...are also NOT-HAPPY'~

Beware-posters suggesting use 6, or 9-volt battery (with, or w/o-resistor) as SAFE!

This is BECK group and NOT Backyard-Science, or FORREST annex, for Lizards?

FYI: Not my Y-Group, prefer-posting [b-B-E], but if-needed, Go [bECK-2-BASICS]

In-fact...might just cheer-up owner/(Trons4Beck) and prompt-posting, Beck-Facts?

Few older posts @^@~> www.tinyurl.com/2c5828v & www.tinyurl.com/256oh2x

Just spotted my mistake, I said "Maxwell" vs. Faraday in 1st-post from April 2010.

Second-post on BECK/(SOTA) MP from year-ago needs SERIOUS IGBT updates,

which I currently have in-work...larger IGBT's are showing-up on ebay, under $50~!

Dr. Beck designed MP 19-yrs-ago using Flash-Tube for lower-cost, NOT for (dI/dT)

performance...critical to high-performance EMPT/IMPULSE Generator, with IGBT~

Recently SOTA-MP upgrade-effort was-to-improve COIN~TOSS, not Beck's-Goal?

Latest SOTA spec. posted...shows 2.5ms Pw/~1ms dI/dT, IGBT gets <-1us dI/dT,

also can control EMP Pw...from just few uS, up to what-ever-needed, Not...SOTA!

At present-time, SOTA has TOP-MP deliverable under $500, but not-much longer?

While waiting for follow-up, see/hear IGBT's Playing~> www.tinyurl.com/5tczzo ?

FYI: January 2010, at TRW Ham/Tron swap-meet, near LAX Airport, traded~

$30 X-Ray Tube, for 4x IGBT's rated @ 1000Volts/300 Amps...new @ $357/ea

Currently on ebay, some-one-selling few 1200Volt/600Amp IGBT's @ $49.95!

IGBT's can be paralled and switching ON/OFF <1uS, at Audio Frequencies,

by simple PWM driver circuit...getting needed dI/dT Pulse 200:1 over Beck!

Not enough for classic MW-PAPIMI, or CAN Crusher, but Hell-on-Pathogen~

List A part could be a milligram a gram a liter a kilogram or whatever as long as both the "parts" and the "million" are expressed in the same units. Parts per million can be thus expressed as milligrams of something into one million milligrams of something else; or liters of something diluted in one million liters of something else. It is a generic form of expressing concentrations. If one knows the identity of the two ingredients, the weight/weight % or volume/volume % can be easily calculated since % is the number of units of something into one hundred (same) units of something else. For instance a 3% solution of sodium chloride in water could mean 3 tons of NaCl in 100 Tons of water, or 3 mg of NaCl in 100 mg of water. It could also mean 3 parts in 97 parts depending on the system used but that is another matter a little more complicated.

My understanding is that TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) measures the relative amount of solids present, based on conductivity, NOT ppm unless it is calibrated that way against a known ppm solution. And yes one million parts of water occupies space.

Subject: Re: Re: how many parts is there in a drop of water

ok so the TDS meter measures the parts of something per a million parts of water... so this means that one million parts of water occupy some space right? Since we have got in this discussion, what is a part?

As I see your question you would have only one part water in one drop of water. You must start with say water and add something to it and how much of what you added would be the parts in a million parts of water. The TDS meter measures the parts of something in a million parts of water....... .......Bill

[beck-blood- electrification] Re: how many parts is there in a drop of water

>> Hi,> I know its a silly question but i promise i looked it up on google and could not find it :) we keep hearing about colloidal silver solutions and how it contains 20 parts per million ..etc but how many parts in total is there in a drop of water or in any unit of measurement?>If you have one quart of colloidal silver that has 20 parts of silverper million parts of pure distilled water then one drop would alsocontain 20 parts of silver when the drop of water is broken down intoone million parts....... ..Bill
