Guest guest
(The Atkins diet and similars is good, because reducing high-glycemic carbs raises metabolism and increases growth hormone output, which can effect repair of damaged, atherosclerotic arteries, making them more resilient, which lowers blood pressure. Better health generally lowers high blood pressure, which is caused primarily by bad diet.) <begin rant> The medical machine have got the cholesterol figures wrong. 250 was the original figure proposed by the researchers as a bare minimum for a relation to dangerous effects in a " normal " diet, complete with polyunsaturated oils. Cholesterol is required to transport these oils. More, and even excess, cholesterol is produced in response to oils that need transport, both saturated and unsaturated. Cholesterol is manufactured in the liver from what, class? Right - sugars and starches, carbohydrates in your diet. Anyway, cholesterol is not even the problem the medical machine says it is. The medical babble regarding lowering cholesterol is nothing more than a scare, a sham. These tactics are designed to sell drugs like the Jezil mentioned below, and more seed oils, which are at the root of the problem in the first place. (Diabetes Association, Heart 'N Stroke Foundation etc... the lying bunch are tryin' to bump us off). Whole cultures with high blood cholesterol through the use of lots of pork fat and coconut oil, up to 75% of their caloric intake, don't have the appreciable levels of heart and artery disease you'd expect their high cholesterol to cause. Why?? No seed oils to speak of. See, it is the OXIDIZED component of the cholesterol that forms plaques. The oxidized component of cholesterol is primarily oxidized by (rancidifying) polyunsaturated and to a much lesser extent, some partly monounsaturated oils like Canola. That's right - seed oils, promoted into popularity since the 1950's. Plentiful in your diet. Corn, canola, soy. DO NOT use these oils. They are by far the biggest dietary cause of oxidative stress, which causes plaque and dozens of other conditions. Note below that the best supplements for reducing the risk of vascular disease are the antioxidants. Yes, but let's avoid oxidative stress also by not eating so much of stuff that causes it, too. If anyone wants the oxidative index of oils (oils analysis), join the group oxyplus and look in the files section for the black- and-white truth about how much damage potential is in many popular oils. Like the man said " figures can't lie, but liars can figure. " When in doubt, go back to the research and don't read the glossy ads or listen to the 6:00 news parrots trumpeting new information for more drugs. Real data, a LOT more real data, from world-class research that the greedy lying medical authorities had access to all along when they snowed us in a systematic way, can be found all linked from the same website, www.coconut-info.com on the links page. No doubt the natural health archive mentioned below has good methods for lowering cholesterol, but even in the althealth arena, many people don't know that cholesterol is not at the all the villain it's made out to be. Authorities have the all-out brass to say " diet has little to do with it " .. Pleeaseeee (as they reply " ...no, really, no kidding!! Honesssst!! " ) This should not even be an issue but a lot of people haven't heard of such a thing because of all the money pumped into the slick scare tactics and advertising. Now that we all have access to the same research, I'd challenge anyone to come up with a resulting opinion that is not diametrically opposed to the public stance the medical machine is taking on the subject of cholesterol and oils. </end rant> Duncan Crow > > I lowered my cholesterol a couple years ago successfully using > a combination of Leichiten(? not sure on spelling) and using > the Atkins diet. Guest guest
Bravo that was a great expose on the cholestrol scam. I use mostly butter and some olive oil. And sometimes coconut oil. V the straight poop on oils and cholesterol (The Atkins diet and similars is good, because reducing high-glycemic carbs raises metabolism and increases growth hormone output, which can effect repair of damaged, atherosclerotic arteries, making them more resilient, which lowers blood pressure.
