Guest guest
Hi , yes I support the master antioxidant as a core part of any anti-aging or wellness program. Going by the Cynatine info on this page: http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU303/ItemDetail 50 mg per tablet of Cynatine is less than 1/8 of the lower of a 1600-3000 mg daily dose suggested for a bioavailable cysteine supplement in a wellness program. The cysteine in Cynatine may or may not be in bonded, bioavailable form. Other amino acids for glutathione manufacture said to be also in Cynatine are not in short supply in the western diet; you already take in several grams of them daily, also far beyond 50 mg. It's great that Cynatine is an antioxidant on its own, but how much of that 50 mg is antioxidant then and how much is amino acids as a precursor to the antioxidant? Is this bafflegab too? I noted that if all 50 mg of the Cynatine was precursor that converted readily to glutathione, even the crappy whey I have here has 440 mg bioavailable cysteine (actually cystine) per 28 gram scoop, 8 times more at least. So, you can see why in my prelim view Cynatine can't compete. The company says it's good for joints; for joints I suggest Integris Corp's Everlasting Super Starter pack. It's guaranteed to bring results or your money back. For hardening of the arteries/coagulopathy/inflammation/circulation I'd suggest BlockBuster AllClear, which also is guaranteed. all good, Duncan
Guest guest
Thank you very much Duncan. I am also not sure why Swanson decided to offer such a low dosage of 50mg(probably to keep costs down) when the producers of Cynatine clearly recommned a minimum of 300mg dosage to experience results of GSH enhancement...I have requested for more information....I am looking for other alternatives because I do not tolerate whey protein very well and am trying to avoid that bloating and uncomfortable feeling with whey. Guest guest
In that case the drug alternatives for glutathione production include the drug protandim, glutathione injections or 400 mg of the toxin/drug n-acetylcysteine 4x daily. The non-drugs include the amino acid cystine for the bioavailable cysteine, alpha-lipoic acid to recycle spent glutathione in an efficacious manner, using enteric-coated liposomal glutathione to soak the bowel lining cells in, dietary antioxidants to strengthen a glutathione-sparing effect in the cells, taking enough selenium to ensure decent glutathione production, perhaps Amgenex DNA which contains antioxidants and sulforaphane to unlock 200 genes that are associated with glutathione production. Tolerating the whey/selenium is better; maybe switching brands will help. all good, Duncan > alternatives because I do not tolerate whey protein very well and am trying to > avoid that bloating and uncomfortable feeling with whey. > > Cheers, > > Â > Dean > thomasdean@... > >
Guest guest
Thanks, I get your drift Duncan...would Colostrum be considered a whole food such as undenatured whey? Regards, Dean thomasdean@... Guest guest
, because both colostrum and undenatured whey are fractions of whole milk, a lot of people consider neither one to be a whole food. Colostrum contains bonded cysteine for glutathione increase as well as several mammalian growth factors for the growth/energy/recovery of an anti-aging approach. If you can't tolerate whey you may also react to colostrum, which I think contains more lactose. all good, Duncan > > alternatives because I do not tolerate whey protein very well and am trying to > > > avoid that bloating and uncomfortable feeling with whey. > > > > Cheers, > > > >  > > Dean > > thomasdean@ > > > > >
Guest guest
I think for my own purposes I'd choose 6 hour colostrum over undenatured whey because I want the growth factors and immune boosting property of transfer factors, neither of which whey provides, in addition to the bonded cysteine, which whey also provides. all good, Duncan
Guest guest
Here are some sites about colostrum and wheyhttp://www.healingdaily.com/conditions/colostrum-3.htmhttp://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0KFY/is_6_25/ai_n27344718/ OlusholaOn Thu, Jul 21, 2011 at 11:50 AM, DuncanCrow <duncancrow@...> wrote: Â I think for my own purposes I'd choose 6 hour colostrum over undenatured whey because I want the growth factors and immune boosting property of transfer factors, neither of which whey provides, in addition to the bonded cysteine, which whey also provides. all good, Duncan
Guest guest
A couple examples and a method with which to deduce the relative merits of an undenatured whey WRT glutathione precursors, based on its components, on my whey page: http://tinyurl.com/whey-page There is also a link to the science, including anti-cancer studies that used undenatured whey. all good, Duncan > > alternatives because I do not tolerate whey protein very well and am trying to > > > avoid that bloating and uncomfortable feeling with whey. > > > > Cheers, > > > >  > > Dean > > thomasdean@ > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Duncan and group it looks like your recommendation of selenium and amino acids via whey are the best way to increase the master antioxidant system. There was a patent awarded in Aug 2011 link is here however here is there formula(albeit for tableting exclude the excipients) www.Proimmuneco.com TABLE-US-00003 EXAMPLE 2 (TABLET) Ingredients: 178 mg cystine 150 mg glycine 294 mg glutamic acid 5 .mu.g selenium methionine 126 mg lactose 78 mg potato starch 96 mg ethyl cellulose 54 mg stearic acid http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2 & Sect2=HITOFF & p=1 & u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html & r=1 & f=G & l=50 & co1=AND & d=PTXT & s1=%22re+39734%22 & OS= Duncan, in your view would Proimmune 200 be deemed a natural approach or a drug alternative similar to NAC as mentioned in your comments below. Guest guest
Not much of an invention, hey; people on health lists have been using blends like this for many years all good, Duncan > > Hi Duncan and group it looks like your recommendation of selenium and amino > acids via whey are the best way to increase the master antioxidant system. Guest guest
Thanks Duncan, so do you feel ProImmune or blending one's self(178 mg cystine 150 mg glycine, 294 mg glutamic acid 5 .mu.g selenium methionine) a good alternative for one which may have difficulty digesting Non denatured whey as you advocate...your opinion is respected. Thanks in advance. > > > > Hi Duncan and group it looks like your recommendation of selenium and amino > > acids via whey are the best way to increase the master antioxidant system. Guest guest
Because most diets aren't deficient in glycine or glutamine, 350-500 mg cystine and 200-400 mcg selenomethionine may suite you fine for glutathione production; higher in illness all good, DUncan > > Thanks Duncan, so do you feel ProImmune or blending one's self(178 mg cystine 150 mg glycine, 294 mg glutamic acid 5 .mu.g selenium methionine) a good alternative for one which may have difficulty digesting Non denatured whey as you advocate...your opinion is respected. > > Thanks in advance. > > >
