Guest guest
I purchased a Super Zapper Deluxe 2006 and a Tooth Zappicator. The instruction no. 1 for the Super Zapper Deluxe 2006 states "DO NOT use this device if you have large metal implants." I have dental implants made of titanium. Anyone know if I can use the Tooth Zappicator on the cheek near or on a dental implant? Thanks in advance for your help. Raleigh
Guest guest
I would call the company you purchased the zappicator from and ask if it is safe. I found this information about metal implants and zappers:~~There are some cautions and side effects with the zapper. avoids itsuse on three types of people, not because it would harm them, but because ithasn't been tested on these groups yet: people with pacemakers, people withmetal implants such as titanium pins and rods after auto accidents, and pregnantwomen. (I've heard that people with metal implants are able to use the zapper,if the zapper is used on areas of the body away from the metal implants, buthaven't been able to confirm this yet.) She discourages people within thesegroups from making themselves into test subjects when there are other (althoughslower) options available to them.~~~
Guest guest
Please let me know where you purchased these from...are they Don Croft's? My opinion (I have a Terminator Zapper myself) is that most of us have metal fillings as well. I've held my zapper against my jaws many times, as I have infections lingering (getting an extraction today). I haven't suffered any ill effects that I know of, and tend to believe titanium wouldn't be affected adversely either. I think titanium is VERY "body-friendly." I believe this from using a titanium pyramid on my head about 14 years ago to help me with severe facial tics...it cured the damn tics!!! I still wear it occasionally to this day, and if I go without wearing it for many weeks, the tics will come back just a bit, and I'll have to wear it again. I wish I continued to wear it as often as I did, because I didn't have a single damn cavity the whole ten years I wore it several times a day. I've had a few cavities since. Point being, I believe titanium is used for the dental and other skeletal implants because the metal is not only well-tolerated by the body, but perhaps even healthy. I understand it's molecular construction is something special that works well with the carbon-hydrogen-oxygen-nitrogen constructs of our body. Personally, I'd use it with the titanium implants. You have to make your own decision. Let me know where you bought these devices. I need something for jaw infections that are causing systemic problems and would like to experiment with something actually designed for jaw use.
