Guest guest
Actually, I have those symptoms without drinking, Ed. I get out of breath walking upstairs or carrying a batch of mail at work. I don't get chest pain though. One morning last spring I woke up and couldn't put any weight on my right heel. I've had it off and on ever since. Also the top of my left foot, so they don't even match! I don't know what caused the foot pain, the fibro just seems to "spread". Any time I ask my doctor, he tells me "Oh, it's just the fibro". Yeah, right. I use a gel support for my heel and sometimes that helps. I had a drink about a year ago and it did make my heart pound as well. One thing I did try was marijuana. Once. It really is an excellent pain killer. I could dance, I felt so much better. Unfortunately, I got a severe panic attack with it (I think I smoked too much at once). It was so bad that I never tried it again. There is a pill for marijuana now, and I have thought of asking for it from my doctor, but it affects your short term memory. Not sure how good that would be at work!! Plus it exeggerates things like walking up a few stairs, the muscles in the legs screaming in agony for you to stop and then the shortness of breath. For someone that played football 3 times a week a few years ago and could drink for England on a Christmas party it is all very hard to take. Also another symptom has developed - the ball of my right foot is very painful to walk on, has been like this for 4 days; feels bruised but have done nothing to it. I am hobbling and limping aroundl this is a new one to me, anyone else had it ?Ed (Liverpool, England)
Guest guest
Ed-It sounds like you have developed a heel spur. There are some exercises you can do to help that......I had a huge one-my podiatrist said it was the biggest he had seen. Anyway, they also have special stockings you can war on that foot to sleep in that keeps it pronated and helps stretch that tendon. Look up heel spur exercises on the web and also heel spur stocking that should get your info. If you can't find it let me know and I will look for it for you, Blessings, -- Christmas Party last night I foolishly had *one* alcoholic drink, and had irregular heart beat running riot, chest pain - the lot. Guest guest
Hmm, it could be - but it is more at the front than the heel (ie the very back of the toe joints...) Can you get them there do you think? Ed > > > Ed-It sounds like you have developed a heel spur. Guest guest
Thanks for that info. Fibro pain is unusual for me as I suffer more with CFS, bar my thumb joint, and occassional arm pains, this is unusual. I am hoping it will go away, but then again I have been hoping all my symptoms will go away for the last few years! Isn't it odd how stairs have such an effect, yet the medics say your heart is fine. I cannot get my head round it. Ed > I foolishly had *one* alcoholic drink, and had irregular heart beat > running riot, chest pain - the lot. Guest guest
I got a little pad to wear in the shoe but it isn't helping. Still hobbling around! Not sure if it is Fibro related or just one of those things, but that's the problem isn't it, we never know ! Ed > > > > > > Ed-It sounds like you have developed a heel spur.
