High blood pressure?

I have high bp, which is well controlled with medication. It always used to

be low and then I started having dizzy spells while laying down with my head

turned to the right...weird. My doctor did a full cardiac work-up and

started a low dose bp med. Been fine since then. Also, I gave up table

salt a long time ago.

I don't know why I suddenly ended up with high bp...maybe family history. I

don't drink, smoke (high risks for to hypertension)...who knows.

high blood pressure?

Hi All,

Does anybody else on the list have a problem with high blood pressure? Mine

has been measured twice this Autumn and it is 148 when it should be around

130. Does anybody know if this can be due to poor ventilation? I am trying

to guess for reasons why and though ventilation might be one.

My doctor said that it has something to do with my lower lung

capacity. I don't take in as much oxygen, so my heart beats faster

and my blood pumps faster to spread the oxygen around. Or something

like that? I don't really know. Mine isn't quite

considered " dangerously " high, but it's often on the borderline.

Hi Lori and ,

Thanks for your answers. Worrying about your blood pressure adds to your stress

which makes your blood pressure go up... :)

Probably I should just check my ventilation and stop worrying....

Good news if you don’t need the

Procrit.  I’ve been off it now 3 weeks and the doc told me this week to

stay off at least another 3 weeks when I do my next labs.  My hemoglobin was

12.4 this week after 2 weeks off Procrit.

I also have had my first above-average BP

readings lately.  I have always been text book numbers till now.  I’m

going to discuss with him next time.

I’m sure one of our knowledgeable

moderators will have some insight on the effects of tx on BP.

high blood pressure?

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone has experienced high blood pressure

on treatment? They didn't give me my procrit shot because my blood pressure was

too high. I have never had blood pressure problems before.... anyway, I was put

on blood pressure medication and hopefully I can get off of it after tx.

My hemotologist thinks I can go to the end of Jan. (end of

my tx) without HAVING to have a procrit shot.

My blood pressure is up on tx too. It highest during and after shot day. I think its a stress thing added to other health issues. I was a mess emotionally even before treatment so I expected the blood pressure thing may spike a little. Try to walk after the nausea passes. It helped a couple of points with me. raggzcutie@... wrote: Hi all, Just wondered if anyone has experienced high blood pressure on

My gastro in NW Washington tsent me to a hemalologist who told me that procrit is not available to me. I had to have transfusions every 5 or 6 weeks. I hated it, but it was better than nothing.

There must have been some element of high blood pressure before treatment even started . Or was given to much procrit already

Has anyone else noticed their blood pressure shooting up while doing the

Protocol?

I think it's tied into my allergies/asthma going out of whack and my liver being

congested. A naturopathic doctor told me how taking Cal-Amo and Antronex from

STANDARD PROCESS would lower my blood pressure if it was due to a congested

liver and, sure enough, when I take them then I can see a drop in my blood

pressure within ten (10) minutes of taking the Antronex.

I found this on a website that discussed Antronex:

Antronex is a natural antihistamine and liver decongestant USE FOR: Asthma,

allergies, portal hypertension, (high blood pressure due to malfunction of the

liver), toxic thyroid (hyper). Antronex® Contains the Principal Ingredients

Calcium Lactate And 15 Mg Of Yakriton; A Bovine Liver Fat Extract, Discovered by

the Japanese researchers in the 1920's, there are reams of literature in that

country about the anti-histamic effect of this liver extract. Dr. Harrower who

wrote the classic work " Practical Endocrinology " stated that Yakriton (ANTRONEX)

is " the detoxifying hormone of the liver. " ANTRONEX is rated according to the

amount of Yakriton it contains. Yakriton is the blood-filtering fraction of the

liver. So the product quickens the detoxification of the blood in its flow

through the liver.

Anyone else have suggestions for dealing with portal hypertension?
