Hi Anne 'n all;

Please be gentle; bear in mind this is on-topic because the 'movement' if

there is to be one, will need dialogue in order to position our effective

electromedical devices in mainstream health care. And make no mistake, as

our useful herbs and nutrients are harmonized out of our reach, we'll

certainly be embracing the energy therapies even more than we are now.

[YESSSSSSsssss!!! I like this idea very much. Question I have is:

located in US or Mexico? or Canada?]

Legally you're protected in the US, and in only Newfoundland and Quebec in

Canada, but judges don't like to infringe on clergy-penitent affairs. It's

not tacit acceptance but at least they're reluctant. I wish I had more info

on other countries.

Each healing ministry doesn't have to be a large edifice like a church or a

clinic - a very modest beginning would do just fine initially. Let's have

one in every town (worldwide) and several in cities. There are plenty of

concerned citizens of every religious persuasion - it's really up to the

missionary types to get a center kicked off in their town. It boils down to

how much they really care to change the status quo.

Nonprofits by their nature don't normally grow fast enough to be incredibly

[i agree 100%. Keep the govt out and ignorant. Problem I see is: feds

asked for 10 mil to police the net to get rid of sites with 'inaccurate

health info'. So, how do we check to see who is real? I have years and

years of doctor bills/health ins. forms :)) Plus current in and out of

state doctors.]

I think the system of checks is becoming a reality through the efforts of

our friends who run and contribute to althealth information groups. It's

getting to a point now that we have pretty good data AND what amounts to

epidemiological studies; though not formalized and double-blind, it's

better than what we had and it's useable.

[Please keep list up to date on this. or private mail? Now I am

becoming paranoid again. There are lotsa trolls, some who are feds,

that troll sci.med.lyme.]

This attempt to do good is within state and natural law. Most of the problem

is not in the treatment itself, it's who gives it that's controlled. Well,

most of the treatments we use, and devices that are the most effective, can

be used for self-treatment. Many can be built at home or underground by a

next-door neighbour. We can be remarkably effective using what we have

legally available. And a lot of the treatment can be handled through

dissemination of the knowledge of how to accomplish it. Seminars. Meetings.

[Yep. Same thing happnend with multiple sclerosis society. Some doc

asked for volunteers to have their blood tested because he thought MS

(at least some cases) is caused by a certain bacteria. The Society did

not want to have anything to do with him. IMO, everything comes down to

money, money, money, power/control, money, ego, money, ego, money.]

[i like it! And I do get into my poor me moods every once in a while.

When that happens, I avoid everyone in order to work through it.]

A little self-indulgence is OK. We're human. And like you, many people can

get through the tight spots on their own. If a person really needs sympathy,

support, or religious cleansing there are already many well-established

avenues that are better suited for that purpose, like friends, family,

support groups, and churches - some churches even do spiritual healing

every week. But when a person needs real healing that leaves only medical

specialists, well-informed friends and healing ministries. I see few other

options that can work as reliably.

(I see the local hospice is full 'most all the time. Unnecessary and sad.)

> I'd like to see this thread worked on a bit to find out if people think

[bill Gates gave 17 mil to vaccinate kids in Africa? or South america?]

There were actually two recent donations by the Gates'. And hundreds of

similar examples. We'll need dedicated people to try to access some of

those grants... much of that money is going to societies run by professional

managers whose interests, again, lie in managing a society and not at all

in the reason it was formed.

Do you think

> we can start some healing ministries that could actually remain useful?

[i think this is a great idea. I rather doubt it would go over here

because this state is soooooooo conserative. If I can get my act

together, I'd like to help. Problem is: I've been trying for the past

2-3 mnths and house still looks like tornado hit it. 1/1/01 I begin

again!]

The state can change. For now it does not matter. What does matter is the

dedication of a few individuals in every region to try it. People, churches,

and corporations can be remarkably generous towards a good idea,

particularly a healing one. Think of how many companies sponsor a ball team

or a bowling team....once a location is set up and a few seminars are

thrown, it should take off on it's own.All you need is a (donated?) basement

suite for the meetings to start.

Let the market decide...if you can help eight people a month avoid

unnecessary misery or death the concept will soon fly on its own.

> That may open the door to starting an alt-healing academy, educational

> seminars, hosting training programs, further research, and all that too..

[i *do* like the way you think. I just hope this can happen, quickly!

and w/o interference.]

MA

OK, if you get ordained (free) you can apply local state priest-penitent

confidentiality guidelines on your regular ministerial duties (mainly on

one-on-one conversations). www.ULC.org also has a document set that

satisfies US legal requirements should your ministry incorporate.

Meanwhile, you can approach like-minded individuals and corporations to

help. We need everyone's combined effort.
