Guest guest
Hello Everybody, My first post didn't go through so am trying again. Sometimes it just does that. Think takes breaks every now and then. Was wondering how to make a gallon of CS at one time? I have a unit from Forrest and have always only made one glass at a time according to his directions. However, I use it so much that I really want to make more so it would be more convenient. Is it done the same way (I would think), but how long does it take to make that much and how can you tell when it's done? Thanks, Gail __________________________________ - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.
Guest guest
I myself would like to know how to make more than 16oz of Colloidal at one time, unless we buy another unit. Does anyone sell larger units that produce more Colloidal? > > Hi, > > How long does it take to make a gallon of CS? Guest guest
Hey Ivy, Yes Silvergen has a high volume generator which produces 5 gallons at a time and can be kept for storage. It is costly, but worth it if you want to save the time of making it every day and cleaning electrodes, or even buying storage bottles. It cost around $600 for the generator and $150 for the electrode set. It makes up to 4,000 gallons at 10PPM of colloidal silver before needing to replace the electrodes. www.silvergen.com The high volume unit of theirs is named SG7 Pro generator. Again as I have used 3 generators in the past to make my colloidal silver, I find that my favorite is the Silvergen colloidal silver generators. They produce top quality Colloidal/Ionic silver that is clear, due to the mechanical stirring device and current controlled unit. The best colloidal silver which is mostly ionic in fact, is going to be a clear solution and have very low tyndall effect. It has been shown that it is Ionic silver that has the best antimicrobial effects than a high quantity of particles in the solution. Study this here... http://www.natural-immunogenics.com/documentation_detail.php?DocumentID=5 and an updated study here from the same company... http://www.natural-immunogenics.com/news_detail.php?NewsID=10 A link to this study is also on Silvergen's website under the link Ionic vs Colloidal Silver. Hope I've been of some help! Mike --- Ivy <wqivy@...> wrote: > I myself would like to know how to make more than > 16oz of Colloidal at > one time, unless we buy another unit. Guest guest
Hi, Just to be clear, the SG7 Pro costs $597 including the electrode set. Replacement electrodes cost $150, but they last a very long time unless you make a lot of colloidal silver. I'm a big fan of SilverGen and have been using and selling their equipment for over 3 years. I purchased an SG6A for personal use and loved it so much I begged them to let me sell their products, even though the profit was very small. In 3 years of selling all of the SilverGen products I've only had problems with 1 unit, so they are also very reliable. I don't mind offering a list-member discount of $25 on an SG7 if any one is interested. It isn't much of a discount, but I have a very small profit on them. I sell them because they are such good products, not because I make money on them. Guest guest
There is a less expensive way to make larger quantities of CS, other than the Silvergen unit. A company called Pride Labs has a couple of LVDC units that can run multiple quart batches at one time. Dual port unit: http://www.pridelabs.us/2005/dualport.htm Single port unit: http://www.pridelabs.us/2005/ps10.htm The single port unit will run up to 4 quart batches at one time, the dual would probably support twice that. I own an SG6 and like it a lot, but I consider the Pride Labs units to be a step up. Apparently they are the only company using UL certified and listed parts in their power supplies. The quality is top notch and the 30 page production guide they give you with each unit is worth the price of the unit by itself. The SG7 is an impressive unit but the cost is very high. Unless you have a need to make a high volume of CS extremely *fast* I would consider going a different route. I usually make about 2 gallons at one sitting and takes about 4 hours tops using the hi-output setting on the PS10. And I have complete control over batch density, no worries with auto shutoff (not a great feature for those of us that like more control over our batch production). An even less expensive way to go would be with Silverpuppy(.com). While I haven't tried it with the unit I got from them, I know Ken, the designer/manufacturer, has said you can use one of his to make up to a gallon at a time. For a $130 for the Mag kit ($115 for the basic kit), this would certainly be the most inexpensive way to go. It would most likely take longer to make a gallon, but consider $130 versus $597. I got my setup from Pride for about $297 which included the PS10, 2 quart containers (with installed binding posts)(#QPC-32) with cables/electrodes (2 sets - silver & copper) and aeration pump/tubing/clamps). I would email them for a quote; they are very good at working with you on pricing. $300 is a lot of money, but still less than the SG7 by a considerable margin. Hope this helps! > > > > Hi, > > > > How long does it take to make a gallon of CS? I have a unit from > > Forrest and have always just made 1 glass at a time according > > to his directions. Guest guest
I was told anybody could make a gallon at a time even with Sota's unit. Just need a glass jar and a PPM meter. Might take a while, 4- 5 hours. Haven't tried it yet, but will whenever I get the above stuff. gail > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > How long does it take to make a gallon of CS? The least expensive way to make CS is I think the highest-volume CS maker of the lot, and it's a home-made maker. 2 quarts of 12 PPM should take about a minute with the microwave oven circuit, and it's capable of continuous operation. Full story http://zeek.ca/4u/article.php?op=Print & sid=111 I make 2 quarts of 40 PPM in 3 minutes. The safeties still work and it takes only about 25 minutes to convert an old microwave oven, at a cost of about $20 US. Duncan Crow
Guest guest
I've used the Silvergen sg6 to make about 20 gallon batches running the unit for a couple of days. The speed depends on how you seed the mixture..I made one smaller batch, then dumped it into the larger one to start it up. works fine, however, it should be stirred regularly since the little motor only swirls the liquid in a small circle, leaving a lot of water unprocessed around the edges. The sg6 will light an LED when it is " done " . But mix the stuff and the LED usually goes off again, some hours later it comes back on, mix it and it goes off, etc. Finally, when all's done, it will stay on even if you mix it up. bG > > I was told anybody could make a gallon at a time even with Sota's > unit.
