Guest guest
Hi, my name is Steph and my ex-husband was diagnosed with ankylising spondylitis over 11 years ago. However, he chose then not to do anything about it. He is now hunched over and can't turn his neck at all to either side now, he actually turns his whole body. He absolutely can't look up. Even though we have been divorced for seven years, we are now close and I have been on him to get something done if at all possible, before he can't improve at all. We have two children, 9 and 11 years old who are very active and would like their father to play with them instead of having to sit down all the side or hold his back. I know he is in pain and stiff all the time, but he literally looks and act like he is 80. I have been searching the internet and found they are now doing arthroscopic spinal surgery for this disease. Has anyone had this or know anyone who has. We live in Michigan and I would like to know where the best place to look is. I have always gone to Mayo Clinic for major problems but do not know if they do this or specialize in it. I really would appreciate any help and feedback, I joined a group on 7 yrs ago when I got tracheal stenosis and they were a world of help to me. Thank you all so much
