Guest guest
Hi Dotsie. A friend of mine bought one of those. The first really promoted one commercially. The Blonde lady on TV. Don't remember the name of the unit. So my friend gets it for her birthday and tries it and freaks out because it sends a major shock of electricity down her spine everytime she used it. So she brings it over and has me try it. And willing guinea pig that I am I try it and Yikolas! Same thing happened to me. It was not a minor jolt. I am talking a major shock wave from the face down the back of the neck and one side of the spine. So she calls them and explains what happened to both of us and they say to send it back. And that, that happens to some people. Eye brows raised. So I think it is an individual thing. Some people are better conductors and some people are better resistors. Apparently my friend and I are better conductors. I know when I did Blood Electrification I had to turn the unit way down from what the manufacturer was recommending or it was too uncomfortable. For him it was imperceptable. For me it was painful. Guest guest
Thanks and Donna. Interesting story on Dermal Tone unit Donna. My eye was twitching for the whole day after I used it. I did a search on Multi Stim and it seems to be used for the nerves. The other devices are for exercising the facial muscles. I'm curious to know why the current in these units used above the neck is safe and other devices are dangerous. Dotsie
Guest guest
Chuckle. Well, in my experience, they aren't. Wish they were because I would love to have some facial firming. Thermage looks promising. If you are welathy. Smile. Blessings Donna DotsieBoo@... wrote: > Thanks and Donna. > > Interesting story on Dermal Tone unit Donna. Guest guest
I have used the Silver pulser with one electrode on the top of my head and the other on my chest several times for 30 minutes. It was very strong, but nothing wrong, for what I know, happend. It seems it helped me with a tender feeling in my scalp. I don't consider it to be risky, and here's why: I have many, many studies here that used pulsed DC over the eye sockets and on the forehead and the bony part behind the ears. None reported interference electrically with the brain. This is probably because the current follows the path of least resistance, which will be through blood vessels behind the eyes and under the scalp. The practice has been used for more than 40 years as CES. Hope this helps. Duncan Crow
