Guest guest
A newsletter reader just asked me about using hypnosis for sleep. Does anyone have a comment? I'm not sure exactly what hypnosis is, except for seeing some kids in middle school hypnotized during a school assembly and then running around the stage barking like dogs, etc. These were " cool " kids, so I know they weren't doing this to be " accepted. " Obviously, the hypnosis made them do things they wouldn't normally do. This kind of creeped me out.
Guest guest
Hypnosis, can be medically helpful. In fact some insurance companies will pay for hypnosis during surgery. I have had hypnosis, for smoking cesation and it worked for several months until I had a family crisis occur and did not have my reinforcement tape to listen too. I had a massage therapist that would use it to help relax me so that she could get good release of trigger points. Guest guest
I've always heard and read that hypnosis won't MAKE you do anything you wouldn't ordinarily do willfully. I couldn't be hypnotized, they told me it was a lack of trust in the hypnotist. Regardless, I've researched it is a good tool for those who will allow hypnosis to be done. God chooses what we go through;we choose how we go through it. Hugs, Pat aka Fibronursepetfarm@...
Guest guest
I did a little research on hypnosis last night and some of these performing hypnotists you can hire for office parties, etc. sure make folks do strange things that I doubt they would willingly do publicly! Guest guest
I you are going to try hypnosis, you need to go to a qualified medical professional that has been trained. Not to a entertainer like those that are for hire for parties or that you see on the talk shows on TV. You can even be taught to use self hypnosis for some problems. In fact meditation is a from of hypnosis.
