Please see my earlier posts regarding the washer " trick " . Your mag pulser is

working perfectly. As long as all the GRENN lights come ON, then the RED light

flashes, all is well. You will find that if you place the washer in he

dead-centre of the coil, then move it an 1/8 " on each pulse, you will find a

" sweet spot " where the washer jumps off faster. Try that on both sides if you

want to pursue using a washer. Bottom line is the washer trick does not tell you

much. Real instruments that measure Gauss is what you need and what SOTA uses to

test the Magnetic Pulsers.

Hope this helps,

Russ :)

I tested mine using a compass

The pulser spun the needle really hard. So the pulser works. The compass now

is all confused.

what instrument/s do i use to measure the Gauss of the magnetic pulser? From: <russ@...> Sent: Mon, March 8, 2010 6:47:23 PMSubject: Re: Faulty sota magpulser

It will cost you about $1,000 USD.

http://www.sypris.com/filemanager/library/5100%20datasheet.pdf

We use an F.W. Bell Model 5080 Tesla/Gauss meter.

You need this type of Gauss meter to properly read the VERY fast pulse of

magnetic burst. That is why there is so much mis-information on magnetic pulser

Gauss outputs. Some have claimed over 50,000 Gauss. I measured this 50k pulser

with my intruments and got an output of only 1,080 Gauss! I have not seen any

other manufacturer of magnetic pulsers use or test their products with a PROPER

meter! Most are using cheap meters that give a wrong reading. I will say this

over and over, there is NO WAY you ware going to generate a 50,000 Gauss pulse

with the magnetic pulsers in their current design. To get 50,000 Gauss, you will

be taking a whole different approach and the pulser will end up costing about

$2,500 at least.

So, buyer beware!! (Oh, I see the same mis-information in Light Units, and Ozone

Generators!!)

Don't believe the spec UNLESS the manufacturer can show you the test equipment

used to give those results. Then, make sure the test equipment is CAPABLE of

providing a RELIABLE reading. Most " real " test is EXPENSIVE. That is why they

are not used. SOTA spent good money to purchase the BEST test equipment to

properly TEST the units.

Our test results cannot be disputed. So I ask other manufacturers, why have you

not spent the money to properly test your equipment??? Still no reply, and it's

been 15 years now...

Cheers,

Russ :)
