,

I am so sorry to hear of June's passing. You have been going through so

much personal turmoil lately and I am hoping that my prayers for you and

your family will help ease the pain.

Ron - Thanks for the tips. It is soooo ridiculous that you have to go

through all that - especially when you pay out the wazoo for it! I called BC

again this morning and they were checking with their " pharmacy dept " and

would call me back. That was bout 4 hours ago....

It's crazy when you see the other meds that they pay for without question -

and the one that you really need to get they give you a hard time about.

Yes very true. Actually, when I was trying to find out whether they

covered Humira or not, I got three different conflicting stories

during three different telephone calls: " Yes " , " No " , and " No. Oh,

wait..., something just popped up on the computer that says you need

prior authorization. " It was at that point that I asked them to send

me a prior authorization request form.

By the way, if you have the same BlueCross plan that I do, the

telephone number for WellPoint Pharmacy (the division of BlueCross

that handles prescription drug coverage) is listed on the back of

your card. I usually call them direct and save myself the hassle of

being put on hold, transferred around, and then ultimately

disconnected.

My son's liver was regularly trashed by Depakote starting in about 1992 or

1993 and that resulted in even more seizures..... It only took a few months of

taking Milk thistle three times a day to improve his liver function.

He has continued to take Milk Thistle daily since then.

THe amino acid SAM-e (which raises serotonin) also has been proven to help

support the liver.

Dandelion and raw grated beets also fit in here.

Support and protect that liver........

Marilyn,

She won't eat anything with peppers specially hot peppers. She's doing much

better today. I don't think it was a cold, I think it was a reaction to the

Calm Jr. (herbal supplement) I bought at the Homeopath, it was not a good thing

for her at all so I stopped giving it to her, and she'a back to normal Thank

God.
