Guest guest
Hi Gail, I have chemotherapy around once every 6 weeks. Have you ever gone down that route, or had it mentioned to you? _____ From: Stillsdisease [mailto:Stillsdisease ] On Behalf Of Gail Sent: 25 August 2007 02:00 To: stillsdisease Subject: flaring Got my Rituxan treatment yesterday and have felt awful all day today (last night, too). My rash is coming out & all my joints are screaming. This happened last time for a few days then got better so am hoping for the same now. I am thinking that maybe it's not working for me. I had a bad flare in between treatments (even was in the hospital with that one) and so far, I am not impressed. Remicade stopped working for me so I don't know what else to do. Hopefully by Monday, I'll feel better. I'll keep you posted since I know there are a couple more of us on Rituxan. Guest guest
Hi Again, I don't want anyone to think, I am not thankful for the five years of remission, I am just devastated to know that I have to go through all of this again. I had 14 years of stills. I almost died several times, I just had myself fooled into thinking it was gone. I am so greatful to everyone of my old pals, in our stills family, I never would have made it through. I thank God everyday for all that I do have! Just wanted to make sure it didn't sound like I was't greatful for all the time I had in remission! until next time, much aloha, Dottie **************New MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination. Guest guest
Oh Dottie, I can't imagine the fear you must be having to have the dragon return full force again after years of remission. Well actually I can just a wee bit because I had to have the Remicade infusions and the MTX several years ago and that was enough to give me an inkling of worry. Dear, please know we understand and are here for you. Please know we understand that you of all people know you are not ungrateful and realize what others are going through and have been a strength of support for far more than many could imagine and as such we are here for you. In love and light, we are here for you. _____ On Behalf Of twckzmbg@... Guest guest
Hi RISG family. I've had a bad month and it's not resolved yet. We had a tie rod break on our car and do damage. Took it to a friend who has worked for us before but he still doesn't have it fixed and it has been 8 weeks. (another issue!) I have tried to just make do the best I can with rides and such for my jobs. (I do mystery shopping and merchandising). Early on in this time period I had a job in the mall and one at kmart which are about 3/4 mile apart. I've not had much trouble walking previously, ongoing at least. So I figured I'd just walk over there, slowly. I had to stop quite a bit due to fatigue and some back pain but I made it there and back. Two days later I woke up with pain in the soft tissue in the inside of my right foot. I figured I'd just strained it and rest would help. So I have rested alot--- some of it due to still not having a car and just of necessity staying put. I did get out a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to see the pain is still there. In addition the bones of both ankles seem to be having some issues. It almost feels like there are cuffs around them tight like a prisoner would wear. My hands are not doing well either. I had somehow gotten off my methotrexate for 6 months. I had no idea it was that long-- had some issues going on with depression and kind of dropped back for a time. I did restart the methotrexate about a month ago now but it doesn't seem to be having the effect it once did. I'm just not sure what has caused this flare. I've had them in the past but never this long. I do have a regular appt with my rheumy tomorrow so will see what he says. I'm afraid he'll be putting me back on the remicaid. I had wanted to avoid that. I haven't been on the plaquenil though which he had substituted for the remi--wanted to try that first as the effects on my liver weren't as bad he said. But before he'd let me continue with the plaq I had to get an eye exam. I haven't had that yet. Would not be surprised to see that it did some damage as I seem to see some change--more difficulty in reading, blurriness. I " m thinking maybe the inactivity is messing up my ankles too, but the first pain in the soft tissue occured when I was still fairly active. So that's where I am right now....Wanted to update you all and if you have any thoughts or similar experiences of course I'd appreciate hearing those. Hope you all had a good Holiday. We were just here at our house. I have discovered Facebook and that has helped me deal with my having to be here at home.
