Guest guest
I posted the following: List, I would be concerned about this for people who have very low Blood Pressure readings. I loved it, when I was real bad off , in pain and feeling real lucky when I could sleep 45min. at a time more than one time per night. After I was better, I took it from my pill pack when I began waking up numb. I think I was just sleeping so hard I did not move, and all of it together affected my blood flow.I have several cousins who test positive hla-B27 and they all have very low BP. I work in the health food industry, and do/would warn against melatonin for people with low BP issues , unless it is given by a health care professional. I am going to read and research the issues you are concerned with. Melatonin should always be used with care especially in young people, a high level can shut down your body's own production of melatonin. My post may have created the wrong impression. With a husband who suffers from a sleep disorder, and myself with autoimmune issues, I still feel that melatonin is the by far the safest way to adjust sleep patterns. Many doctors who treat ASD including autism in children (who often suffer from autoimmune issues as well) are using melatonin with great success for more than sleep issues. When I stopped using melatonin my blood pressures were running very low around 80/60 and I still use smaller doses, for sleep once a month or so.. It did not cause the issue-I have issues with circulation, that were worsened during my last pregnancy, and return when my body is under stress. I know the melatonin was an important factor in achieving a remission that has lasted for years, I had to have sleep to heal, and achieve the remission.
