Guest guest
hi dan, i first started having problems with my right foot in 1992 or thereabouts. was finally diagnosed with possible reiters disease about two years later, so its been nearly 20 years for me. from 1993-2000 i had to reduce my running because i had inflammation and pain the right foot. but continued working (was in the military). 2001 till 2003 i was busy just traveling around the world and spending money after leaving the army. since 2003 i've been back working full time but full time in my current job that really only means 20 hours per week maximum (not because of physical limitations but thats what the job calls for). i still go hiking in mountains, still ride a bicycle, still work out a few times a week. My limitations so far are that I can no longer really run, which is something i used to love. i can accept that given that things could be a lot worse for me. to summarize, i think the key to living with reiters is the same as any other illness: keep a good attitude, accept some limitations, take care of yourself as best you can, and just enjoy life. its working for me so far. Good luck ~ From: adgp9 <electrician01@...> Subject: work Date: Saturday, October 3, 2009, 1:52 AM Is anybody able to work a full time job after having ReA for over 20 years?
