Guest guest
Ever since I've been diagnosed with Reiter's Syndrome, My doctor and I have been looking for a suitable pain reliever to handle my symptoms. Does anyone have any recommendations? So far, we've done Tramadol, codeine, and I'm currently on hydrocodone. My doctor wanted to try me on a new , pretty strong pain reliever that came out this year called Nucynta, but the cost per 100mg 120 count bottle was 500.00, so I'm currently on hydrocodone. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply. According to opiate comparison charts, methadone is about half as effective per mg as hydrocodone, so I don't think that would help me. I'm glad it helps you though, thanks again =)
Guest guest
My vote goes with Tramadol, Celebrex, and 3000mg of Omega 3s. This combo works best for me despite using several other drug combos. I will also say check you Vitamin D level, I was very low and that increased my pain several fold. von Hacker Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Re: Just a question... Thanks for the reply. Guest guest
Over the years I have taken most of the narcotic pain killers, the one that did work was OxyContin, but at a high dosage of 80 mgm 4 times daily. While in hospital last year they put me on Fentanyl Patches to see how they worked Well, they work well now that we have the dose titrated at 100 to 200 mcg/ /3 days, most days it sits at 100 mcg/hr for 3 days. I was using Dilaudid for breakthrough pain but did not need them once the Fentanyl worked properly with the right dosage. Blessings Fr. Dave -- Re: Just a question... Thanks for the reply. My grandmother turned me on to supplements from MonaVie and Shaklee, but it seems like no matter what I do, I can't get the arthritis under control. I've been withdrawing off of some of the pain medication my doctors have been throwing at me, and with the exception of Vicodin, they almost seem like they made my pain " worse " after a while, especially the tramadol. If you are currently taking tramadol, good luck when you have to find another suitable pain reliever. The withdrawals are similar to getting hit by a truck filled with 20,000 lbs of concrete. Try looking them up. Thank you everyone for your responses so far. I hope you are currently and forever living as pain free as possible!
