Guest guest
Hi Welcome to our group, though we wish you didn't have Reiter's. Can you tell us how long you have had your symptoms? Some of us have been sick a long time, others for a short time. Remissions do occur for some periods of time. Stay hopeful. Medications, diet and exercise are big factors. Keep informed, ask questions. Do you have a good support system of friends and family? Feel free to ask us for help on anything. Faith and prayer are very important. You need spiritual food everyday along with confidence that God will provide. God Bless Priscilla In Tucson, AZ
Guest guest
Steve, Priscilla pretty much summed it up. I have been diagnosed for about 15 years and everyday has been a struggle; however, I have had long periods of remission whereby I kept active, enjoyed life, and muddled through with the support of my family and friends, coupled with the assistance of medications and a good specialist. When the disease gets me down I always remain positive, and take it one day at a time. This group is great for support and information, or just to let off steam, I do that every now and then and find solace in the feedback I get . This often helps me overcome some of the " bad days/weeks " that we all deal with one-way or the other. Have faith, and be assertive when you are dealing with your Dr's and specialists as you know your body the best. Guest guest
Hi all, I've had symptoms for around seven years but they've always been very, very mild. Until just over a month ago when it went mad. It's simmered down a little now but it seems that all the things that have come one-by-one over the years have come at once. And worse. The urological problems have been the hardest to deal with and they seem to be the ones that it's toughest to shake. It's just come as a huge blow after knowing 'something' was wrong for so long but being broadly in good health. I'm just hoping it clears off soon. I know there's a chance it'll return but I want to resume my life in the short term. Thanks so much for all your kind words, it's ver much appreciated. Do you know if there's any guys of my sort of age in the UK on this forum? > > Hi > > > > Welcome to our group, though we wish you didn't have Reiter's. Guest guest
Steve: I don't know if these are " kind words " or bad news, but even at their worst your symptoms are relatively mild compared to what they could be. If those were mine, it would be a state of relative remission. Hope yours get better rather than worse. Dave From: mrstevenhobson@...
