Guest guest
K, I am one of those who has too many other illness to be able to get a transplant. My mom has 3 and offered me one, and my cousin and best friend both offered me one, but the Dr said they would use their kidney on someone much healthier. So they said forget it. I don't know now if I even want to get dialysis when the time comes. I am just so tired of being sick and in pain all the time. I use to want to donate organs when I pass away, but now the Dr said my whole body is effected by the auto immune disorder, and they wouldn't take a chance of passing it on. So, I guess that's that. We'll see how I am when the dialysis time comes up if I will or not. I would like the one I can do at home, then I don't have to go thru all that time getting ready and traveling to the center. I think I would like to sleep when it is working, and let it clean my blood longer too. Might help with the other problems I have. I know my time is coming soon since I keep having UTI's and kidney infections that hang on forever. My left kidney was removed in 1993 because of the same thing. But now I don't think they can remove both, and still live. And I pee all the time, enough for everyone else. I have to drink lots of fluids to keep my kidney clean, and because I had my whole colon removed in 1981, and that is where most of the fluids are absorbed. So, I'm going at least every hour. I hope everyone's transplants do well, and make you feel good again. That is a Christmas wish for all of you. Enjoy the time you have, life is very wonderful.
