I so far have been a " lurker " in this group, but your sister's symptoms

sound just exactly like what happened to me last year.

I have an autoimmune disease that causes flares of cartilage (relapsing

polychondritis) and I had a cranial nerve flare last year. I went into the ER

because my doctor was on vacation that weekend and was put on 60 mgs. of

Prednisone for it. It stopped it in about a week. I had been tested for

uveitis and had a CAT scan done on the back of my eye the week before which

didn't show anything.
