Guest guest
Valarie: I know nothing about heart stuff, but for some other symptoms, have you considered blood sugar? Low blood sugar can cause various types of numbness and tingling, vision and mood changes, and fainting. Did this happen when you hadn't eaten in awhile? I am not diabetic, but I am sensitive to blood sugar fluctuations. I have to eat something every two or two-and-a-half hours all day long to keep my blood sugar even. If I'm feeling hungry and a hint of faintness I make sure it's something with protein like nuts or cheese. Just a thought -- (mom to , age 7, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs... and also to Kate, age 4, more dairy intolerant but very healthy!) Guest guest
....hard to know what is causing it....the only time I have seen hands, arms and mouth start to tingle and go numb before someone passes out is with hyperventilation, due to the high levels of carbon dioxide present in the blood and body from hyperventilating. I used to see it a ton when I was a paramedic at high altitude where people frequently hyperventilated with altitude problems. Guest guest
Can anyone tell me if this is associated with Reiter's? My daughter was diagnosed with Reiter's when she was 4 years old (she is now 17) and had to have steroid shots. I think the problem has flared up again and she passed out last night, she also had episodes about three weeks ago with feeling like she was going to pass out and her legs felt like rubber. Also she is having alot of hair loss when she washes her hair. She had bald spots in her hair a couple years ago. Can this be associated? I am waiting on a call from her doctor to get further testing done. She is also having lower back pain. Thanks, Sue
