Guest guest
To All: I just received the news that the biopsy done on my knee was negative for Chlamydia / Chlamydia Pneumonia. Therefore, I will not be part of the dual antibiotic study (doxy w/ ripfampin)to treat Reiter's Syndrome. I am very disappointed. Not sure what to do. I'm in great pain (hip, feet, breastbone area). Also, today I had an appointment w/ my GI doctor to discuss GERD / acid reflux and pain in breastbone area. He had no answer for the breastbone pain. Only wanted to focus on stomach issues. He wants to do another endoscopy(I've already had two endoscopies done in less than two years, one CT Scan of Abdominal, one colonoscopy, one test were you eat radio active eggs and x-rays are done over a 2 hour period.) The GI systems checks out OK. Another endoscopy would be useless. I'm considering trying doxy / ripfampin combo for six month despite test results. I plan to discuss w/ a few friends / doctors. Any thoughts are would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
