Guest guest
I use Guaifenisen, also commonly known as Mucinex, to help combat the Fibro pain and stiffness. I take one tablet twice daily and I've been on it since I was diagnosed, about 10 yrs ago. I'd read in Dr St Armand's book about his Guaifenisen protocol and thought I'd try it. IMHO, I'll continue taking the Guaifenisen till I stop breathing. Betty J in OKC
Guest guest
Hi Betty, I too have fibromyalgia and have never heard of this treatment. My doctos ignore my fibro and focus on my Reiters and eye problems, etc. But I think a lot of my everyday " stiffness " and soreness is due to the fibro--and my fatigue. How does guafisen work? You can buy it in generic form or get a prescription--but it's sold exclusively as a medication to break up congestion. What is it that works on the fibromyalgia? I don't think there are any bad side effects to this medication are there? I would be interested in trying this if you can help me get started on the right protocol. Guest guest
Betty J, My 36 year old daughter would like to know what strength Guaifenisen/Mucinex you are taking for your fibro. Hers is sometimes debilitating as I'm sure you are quite aware of. Also what is the name of Dr St Armand's book and I'll get her a copy if I can find one. Thanks, Atlanta
