It's chronic inflammation of the urethra that feels like a hot coal burning in one's private parts. Not fun. I saw my acupuncturist today. He thinks it may actually be a low grade infection so I am seeing my regular MD tomorrow. I have stopped taking the Urelle (for bladder pain) so as not to affect my urinalysis. My acupuncturist is uncanny at times. He can tell what I ate and what time I went to bed by taking my pulse. His treatment really helped my uveitis. So I do follow his advice but always check it out with my other MDs. Both my family MD and my Rheumatologist are in favor of his practice. Honestly, it is so weird to have a disease that affects both the eyes and the urethra. Who would ever connect those two symptoms? Well, I eventually found out, a Rheumatologist could!
