a and friends,

Yes, Esther had a terrific time in Virginia! Sherri, her cousin, and

,

Sherri's boyfriend, picked her up at 5 a.m. Friday morning to an undisclosed

destination. They even surprised her with a brand new red convertible that

they rented for the trip. They went on Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns, and

visited the Walton Mountain Museum. They stayed at the Peeks of Otter

Lodge at the bottom of Sharp Top Mountain. They took a bus trip to

1,001 feet. Sherri and parked Esther's wheelchair there and

piggybacked her all the way up to the top of Sharp Top Mountain.....

3,856 feet. I told Esther good thing they took her there because if

Mom and Dad would have taken her, she would have just seen 1,00l feet

LOL. Esther said she never thought she would go hiking! Sherri and

are very special people :). Virginia was very beautiful :)

This past Monday went to for that Neurology thing to help

the students pass their oral exam. They paid Esther $15.00 per

session (she did two) and gave us a nice lunch. Plus free

parking. Mom said that's a switch......getting paid by the doctors instead

of paying them LOL

Never went to that Restaurant you mentioned before but did hear

good reports about it. They specialize in Seafood don't they?

Carol doesn't like much Seafood.....just Flounder LOL

Hope all are feeling better now that Spring is here. Esther is still

cold LOL.....she likes it at 90's. Mom likes it in the 60's hehehee.

Have a Good Weekend All! :)

Carol & Esther,

I'm so glad that Virginia was so enjoyable. Sherri and

are so very sweet. What a great guy for getting you to

the top of that mountain! Did you see any bears?

When we camp in Skyline Drive, we have to be so careful with

our food or we'll have some company dining with us.

Esther you're such a good sport for participating in the

neurology sessions. I hope there was no pain involved. It

is a strange twist to be paid by a doctor! Since all these

doctors are " practicing " on us, we SHOULD get paid LOL!

There was a lot of seafood on the menu at the Newport House.

Since I'm a seafood lover, I don't even look at the meat

menu. Next time I go back, I'll see if there is a good

selection of meats and poultry.

I hope you're having a nice weekend. The sun finally came

out here.

Hugs,

a
