Guest guest
Hi Have been wondering how you are doing. I sent you an email last week and did not hear back from you. Hope you got some info from you GI doctor. We have been keeping you in prayer. My heart goes out to you and all of us who deal with our weight. For me I have doubled my weight from before I was sick some 22 years ago. The illness, medications and inability to burn off the weight from exercise are major factors for us. Last year I lost 30 pounds, which brought me down from my all time high weight. Then I just stopped losing. And I am at the same weight now for the last 9 months. Does not matter what I eat or how much I exercise. My body has just stopped losing weight. So I weigh myself often just to keep from going up. A couple months ago I heard of some diet mentioned on a radio station. It was called " My Big Fat Greek Diet " , the title caught my attention. So I bought the book and have read it. It is a very readable book written by a medical doctor who himself weighted 467 lbs!!! He lost half his weight!! Without the bypass surgery.!!! This is his website http://www.healthsteward.com/index.html His name is Dr. Nick Yphantides and he is a medical doctor in San Diego He has compassion and sympathy for overweight people. His book tells of all the pain and suffering he went thru as a very overweight person. His website has a way to contact him. He is a Christian and does a lot of medical work for poor people and children. Just reading his book gave me encouragement. Please let me know how you are doing. Remember that you are loved and prayed for. I suffer daily with pain and depression and know that God has a purpose for my live. I don't like it, but I trust that He knows what He is doing with my life. May you soon feel comfort and hope thru Christ's grace. Love and Hugs Priscilla
