Guest guest
, all of my knee, wrist and toe pains came on in the same fassion. First...they would severely inflame (very noticable in the knees and wrists). Then, a few weeks later to a month...the pain started. The knees started catching and clicking with the pain. I have had tendonitis in my shoulder before but I would describe this as a different pain from what I remember. I didn't have any " burning " sensation at all...just a VERY inflamed ache when the joint was in use (walking etc). The toe felt like I had broken it or severely fractured it. My back (in one spot only) felt like I had thrown a disk out of alignment to the point that I went into a chiropractor for the first time. He did an adjustment and massage therapy which got me out of the office feeling AWESOME. The next day however...OUCH! Same thing with my neck. I have a vertabre out of alignment in my neck (from 1995) that the muscles had compensated for by 1996...then when the chiro did his cracking...he woke up this old injury. I don't know if the inflammation in the neck was ReA filled or just out of whack like 1995? Nonetheless...it appears to be gone now. I called my doc's office tonight and told the nurse that I was stopping the Enbrel since I thought I might be in a remission. She told me that it might just be due to the build up of Enbrel in the system. I on the other hand do not think that is the case. I'll see the rheumy in mid july...but for now...I'm done with Enbrel and Aleve. If I start to ache...I'll join in on the fasting to test things out naturally for a bit. I love Enbrel...but would rather get off of it for awhile to see what is up with my immune system. My wrists are still tweeked but I think that is the carpal tunnel only. Since none of my other joints are inflamed...I think that is a different independent problem (probably caused from the previous wrist flare though). We'll see what happens there!
