,

Thanks a TON for your post! You and I are quite possibly in the exact SAME

boat.

I was on Enbrel for the last 15 boxes (4 per box 1 per week) and really knew

that I needed to take my next shot at around day 6 until about 4 weeks ago.

Suddenly, I had no urge to take it...no inflammation starting in my neck (the

first typical site of need) all the way through day 8 or 9. I had the same

experience the next week but pushed it to day 10...but took it out of caution

anyway. This week is the 3rd week in a row that I have not felt the need to

take it. This all might have started a few weeks earlier...I just don't

remember. I had come accustom to just shooting up on the right day needed or

not till recently.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroid around 6 weeks ago...so I just quit the

massive amount of Mountaindew drinking cold turkey. I switched to Coke Zero and

have not turned back since. Very suddenly...I dropped around 13 lbs and the

feelings of inflammation went away. Keep in mind that I was one of those in

pretty bad shape before Enbrel.

Tonight (dinner) I will also start my fast. Sort of a modification of all the

stuff we are reading in the book so far. I picked up a bunch of organic pressed

vegy juices tonight. Pretty pricey but not a deal breaker since this should

only take a week or so. I'm also sitting here at 11pm with a bowl of Bok Choy

soup that I made. 2 cups of free range chicken broth, 5 stalks of Bok Choy

(Chinese Cabbage), 2 dashes of red pepper flakes, 6 shakes of black pepper, 6

grinds of Hawaiian sea salt in a pepper grinder and whalaa...soup for gut

healing :) Here goes nothing...........Holy crap...it is actually good. Not

just good enough....it is actually good :) The Bok Choy has a meaty texture and

is a very hearty cabbage stalk. If this stuff works...I can dig this for a

couple days easily! The recipe didn't come from a book...I just thought that

since cabbage is supposed to be good (juice anyway) for this fasting

thing...that I would modify it like this. The spices might

have to go...I don't know yet because I have not read that far in the book. In

the meanwhile...I'll try and cleanse a bit with this grog :) The fresh pressed

carrot juice was actually fairly good as well. I am going to try and stick with

stuff that I NEVER ate/drank before to keep up some energy for my job. I can't

afford to do in light headed where I work or people die.

Anyway...night 1...so far so good. Tomorrow I'll dig into some pomegranate

(spelling?) juice for breakfast and some carrot juice.

Good luck to you and keep us posted!x

Rob
