It is hard to say what is up with your husband being dizzy and too exhausted

after making love. Because of his age, and you say he's out of shape, that

is a good reason to be concerned.

Does he become winded or dizzy when involved in other physical activity, like

walking up a flight of stairs? I'm not talking about a strenuous activity

that would leave anybody tired. I'm referring to a very simple activity.

For instance, if the two of you walk up a short flight of stairs, you are

fine, but he is out of breath and broken into a sweat. Or, if the two of you

go out to take a walk, and you think you are already walking real slow, but

then he is still falling behind and can't keep up, and is showing signs of

exertion, again the shortness of breath and/or heavy sweating. If this

happens during other physical activity, then he almost certainly is having a

medical problem. If he only experiences this during sex, well, that's more

difficult to pinpoint. Remember sex is a physical and emotional experience,

and so everybody has different reactions, and I have heard of people who have

strong physical reactions during and afterward, because of the emotional

aspect. Men especially don't often do anything outside of sex that is

remotely intimate with another human being, so the release during sex can be

quite overwhelming. Can you keep an eye on him for a few days, and tell us

if he is having trouble in all physical activity, or just sex?

BTW, my husband just turned 40 today. Yes, I was a cradle-robber. Anyway, I

have been on the Blood Type Diet since '98, lost lots of weight, got in great

shape, feel good, never sick, lots of energy. During this time, I have

consistently tried to get the hubby " on the program " . He is at least 50 lbs.

overweight, smokes, is sedentary, likes his fast food. His father died of a

heart attack at age 44, so genetics are not in his favor on this issue.

FINALLY, in the last few months, he has been walking a few times per week,

improved his diet, smoking less, and has lost 12 pounds. Just last week, he

joined a gym, and started having a big chicken caesar salad for lunch every

day. It finally sunk in with him, how easy it would be to look as good and

feel as good as I do, and he finally started thinking about his father's

death at such a young age, and what lifestyle his father was leading that

left him so susceptible. So, don't give up, you are doing the right thing to

keep an eye on this situation, and just keep setting a good example and

making healthy meals.
