Hi folks

i'm just getting starting with this diet. My background is that I'm

celiac but have had ten years of stomach trouble - cramps and

discomfort despite followng a gluten free diet. I've had lots of

medical tests which have drawn a blank so now i'm trying this diet.

As I type O I know I need to avoid wheat, corn and dairy. Wheat is

not a problem as due to my gluten allergy I have gluten free bread.

However there is gluten free wheat starch in this so I've cut it out

just to be on the safe side.

As far as I can see the only grain which is safe to have is rice so

I've switched to puffed rice cereal (instead of cornflakes) and

ricecakes. I'm also having pineapple juice instead of milk and drink

only water - no tea coffee or fizzy drinks.

I've been following this regime for over a week now and feel no

benefit whatsoever. My stomach aches continue day in day out and I

don't have any more energy.

Am I hoping for improvements too soon or am I missing something. My

daily diet looks like this

Breakfast puffed rice ceral and pineapple juice, ricecakes water

Lunch banana, apple ricecakes water

Dinner: Beef, Chicken or lamb with boiled brown rice and frozen veg

typically green beans, carrots and fresh lettuce.

Evening fresh fruit smoothie with Udo's Oil

Where am I going wrong - I've eliminated dairy, wheat and corn

completely but still feel the same. How long should it take to feel

better?

My wife is also following the diet - she has a stone of excess weight

to lose and is following the same regime (but is having rye bread as

she is not celiac). She has also seen no results this week.

Has anyone found their progress to be as slow as ours?
