I received this e-mail this evening from an old member of our group. I often

wonder what happens to the people who we don't hear from for so long. Always

hoping they have gone on to better health and no need for us as a group. If

anyone remember him, please give him a line or two of encouragemen.

<<hello granny, it is bob foti one of the arthritis sufferers that once

kept current with you guys. last YEAR i broke my neck and am now paralized from

chest down. will send more nfo later must go thanks and goodbye for now. Bob

His new address: _bobfoti@..._ (mailto:bobfoti@...)

Oh, my gosh, Bob. So sorry about your condition. I'll ask Rick to add you to

our list if you'd like. Please write us and let us know what happened. Were

you involved in a car accident of some sort? Bless your heart. I'm so happy

that you are able to write an e-mail. From the chest down, huh? That's the

pits. Do they have hope that it might reverse itself? Do you have any feeling in

your lower extremities at all? I can't remember, if you are

married/significant other who can help you??? All of us in the group will pray

for you. I'm

sure it is difficult to e-mail people, but it might help by being able to keep

in touch. Zare was going to have surgery and he was worried about

having to be intubated as it could cause problems like you mentioned. Take care

and keep in touch....even if it is just a line or two. We'll read between

the lines for you. Gentle hugs and much love, Connie (granny)

Greetings Bob, prayers for you will go up daily or anytime God slips your

name into my head .First off, so great you are trying to do something in spite

of your handicap. WONDERFUL. You are too young to sit back and do nothing.

Life still has many things for you to do! Bless you. (When you get a

chance...tell us how this terrible thing happened to you.) From the bottom of

my

heart....I'm so sorry.

Now, about your project: It might take a little time to think about what

people's needs might be, but it would be a fun project for those of us that

have

the time to do it. Where would you be building your dream village? How far

from grocery stores, drugs, etc. Temperatures, seasonings, etc. Separate or

adjoining units? This would be for people with big mobility type handicaps,

right? Or would it be geared up for different type problems?

Sweet dreams, Bob. Keep up this great spirit. Life can give you lemons...but

we can always make lemonade to share with others. Best regards, Connie

(granny)
