Guest guest
I also have calcified stones. I've done numerous flushes and still have three. I will probably do more flushing in the future, I don't know. But right now I am concentrating on diet. I have contacted Dr. Cabot and her herbologist responded saying that the flushing is okay to do every once in awhile but that diet is the key. That diet will help soften and dissolve the stones. I do feel pain in the liver area from time to time. I may also try Chang's products. I have a neighbor who used to work for a doctor. She said about 20 percent of their patients they send for GB removal have chronic diarhhea afterwards. The doctor himself at the time she worked for him last year has multiple gallstones. He just controls it with diet and has attacks from time to time. He said it just hasn't gotten bad enough for him to take it out. More advice about calcified stones would be appreciated. laura ----- Original Message ----- From: " Diane " <usanalife@...> <gallstones > Sent: Friday, March 30, 2001 1:03 PM Subject: Re: -Ready for Surgery > I don't post much anymore but when I read the list today I had to > respond. > I had the surgery back in October when I was 32. I had the surgery back in October when I was 32. I don't think that is very old. I had the Keyhole surgery. As most members of this list remember it was a horrid experience. I only had the surgery because they couldn't stop the pain. They had me on pain meds and hooked up for about 12hrs until they got me into surgery with no relief. The main problem I've had since surgery was my liver. I didn't know it at the time but couldn't figure out why my right lower side hurt so much that I had to take lots of pain med until they wouldn't give me anymore. I've learned since then that the pain was in my liver and it's most likely that they bruised it severely from surgery. The MD's wouldn't take any responsibility for it. I had never had this pain ever in my life until I woke up from surgery. I was even told that it wasn't surgery related because I took to long to recover. They told me I would feel great in a few days. It took me 6 weeks to recover. I don't have my old life back. The fact is age doesn't make you recover better from surgery. Having a very good surgeon gives you a fighting chance. There are others on this list that I believe have had help with calcified stones. Dale is a pro with cleansing his GB. I sure wish I would have met him 6yrs ago when I first started having problems. There have been others who have left this list after surgery and are not doing well at all. One of them is still in lots of pain and has every major test imaginable. REALLY. If there is any possibility to try some drastic alternatives first I would try that. I only had the surgery because after 12hrs of having a massive attack we still couldn't get rid of the pain. At least having gone through that much pain first I feel the surgery was right at the time. I'm not trying to scare you just giving you some facts from experience. I to have talked to others that have diarrhea after every meal/snack. it happens to a percentage of people. I've had bowl problems since. It's not fun. I don't have much heartburn/indigestion now and I really try to eat healthy. I haven't really had the attack feeling since except a couple of times but I do know someone on the other list that still had all the same symptoms after surgery and is still very sick. It has been nice not to have major attacks anymore but I've had to permanently give up some things. They are things that are better to live without any ways. Just know that surgery isn't a means to an end for everyone. Just do lots of soul searching and research and check out all your options first. Surgery is a final. Once it's gone it's gone. If you want to e-mail me off list you're welcome to. Also if you put Dale in your Subject post on this list and ask him if he can direct you to where to find more ideas especially for calcified stones, I'm sure he'll get back to you. He's been a big support and help for me. Diane usanalife@... Good luck in which every choice you make.
