Phil,

I've been on Enbrel for 8 months, and I have recently been able to get off

prednisone. My knees still hurt but they're not inflamed. It took 6 months

for Enbrel to start helping with my joints, so my advice to anyone out there

just starting, who's frustrated like I was at first, is to hang in there.

For some of us, it takes longer to work.

I had very severe sores on my tongue which Enbrel completely cured after 2

weeks and they have not come back. I've been able to eat normally for 8

months now. Enbrel was a miracle cure for ReA canker sores. Which as a lot

of people in the group have been discussing, is the worst symptom of

Reiter's. I would take Enbrel just for that effect.

Thanks for sharing your success with Enbrel. I'm a big fan too. My

rheumatologist is putting a lot of his patients on 3 times a week of Enbrel,

because some people need that. My insurance so far is paying for that, but

he said he is having trouble with most of the insurance companies

authorizing more than 2 times a week. He's mad at Amgen because they're

making billions off this drug.
