My neck pain from my C2 gives me so much trouble that I can't look left, up or

down without major discomfort and pain......

I was taking the Indomethacin 75mg sr for about a year. It did me

wonders...but no where near what the Enbrel . .....

When I over do it...I notice some ache...but a hot tub knocks the edge off right

away.

Hi Rob,

Like you, my neck movement is extremely limited in all directions: no more than

10-15

degrees left and right, almost no movement when tilting left or right toward

shoulder, and maybe an inch up or down. I do get some relief from isometric

exercises and massage and hot tubs too. I often go to bed with and ice pack or

warm neck wrap.

I've been taking 75mg indocin SR twice a day for about 19 years. That along with

with sulfasalazine has been helpful. The reason my Rheumy wants me to stop the

indocin is that it's contraindicated when using coumadin, Which I started

recently after being diagnosed with atrial fibrilation. It seems that indocin

also thins the blood somewhat and also there's a risk of bleeding ulcers when

using anti-inflamatories, although I have never had that side effect.
