I am a rather old member, who went away and is now back. I have had

multiple medical problems besides the RA. I found a wonderful Dr who

prescribed for me a pain patch. The drug name is fentenyl. It is mostly

used for terminal cancer patients and highly addictive. I have used it

for severe pain that ultram/percodan/etc will not touch. I had shingles

about a month ago and the patch lasts 72 hrs so I got 3, wore 2 and

saved the last one for emergency only situation.

Not many Drs will prescribe it but it doesn't hurt to ask. I hope this

helps some.
